Idyllic cottage on the Atlantic coast in the south west of Ireland

  • From the Cottage looks out directly on the Atlantic Ocean. The Bay of Tragumna is to speak in front of you. The house has about 80 square meters, it is divided into a large living / dining room with an open fireplace as the center and integrated kitchen on the ground floor, this room is open up to the roof and forms one side of the house. The other half consists of one bedroom and a bathroom on the ground floor and upstairs, which is reached by a staircase with a small gallery from the living room. The cottage is fully furnished, bed linen, towels and tea towels are provided. The kitchen is well equipped, in the living room there is CD player, satellite TV and DVD player, the house has central heating and on the sea side a large terrace with access to a very large lawn. About the property leads to a small pebble beach in the bay; A sandy beach is 200m away. Near the house there is a traditional Irish pub with live music on weekends. In bustling Skibbereen (6km) you can buy everything that makes life pleasant. The coast between Tragumna and Castletownshend is spectacular with ever-changing views z. B. on the famous Lighthouse of Fastnet Rock

Lovely cottage - quite remote

This is a lovely cottage and the hosts are very responsive and helpful. It is probably best suited for a warmer season fishing trip than a cold weather stay on the coast.The view from the cottage is gorgeous and the back yard is wonderful.

Idyllic is the perfect word for this cottage!

Perfect little cottage for a week long visit in West Cork! Walking distance to the beach & pub with fantastic food. Owners were very responsive & helpful. We would love to book again!

Urig-rustikales Cottage mit guter Ausstattung in perfekter Lage (faszinierender Ausblick auf das Meer und die Klippen). Schöner Pub direkt vor der Tür. Süd-West Irland lässt sich von hier prima erkunden. Toller Urlaub!

Sehr schönes Cottage mit atemberaubenden Ausblick

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt in diesem echt schönen Cottage. Das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man so braucht. Darüberhinaus sogar mit Büchern, DVDs und Spielen. Der atemberaubende Ausblick auf die Tragumna-Bay ist unbezahlbar. Vielen Dank für einen tollen Aufenthalt!

Idyllic location, quiet but accessible

A stay next to the Atlantic but so peaceful. Great view from rear porch, safe garden, access to Skibbereen easy (car essential!).Cottage shows its age, needs more towels and better bedding, but comfortable and all needs catered for. Breda helps with any needs.

Wir haben uns im Trout 2 rundum wohlgefühlt. Das Cottage ist gut ausgestattet, die Kommunikation mit der Verwalterin vor Ort, war bestens und bei einer Woche im frühsommerlichen Dauerhoch,spielte uns auch das Wetter in die Karten.

The cottage was very cosy and comfortable, and the property manager was very helpful in fulfilling our requests. the cottage is situated in a beautiful cove and the views are stunning. Recommended.

Very Enjoyable Stay with Magnificent views

The whole process was simple. House was really clean and tidy and comfortable. Ideal get away location. Lovely pub beside the property and an excellent beach with lifeguards within short walking distance. Hope to return when time allows.

Lovely little cottage by the sea

We all enjoyed our stay very much! Lovely walks down to the ocean, watching the sunsets and beers at the pub. I don’t recall the listing saying there was no wifi which may be important to some. The town of Skibbereen itself was about 10 mins away and really charming. Breda was super helpful and responsive. Thanks for a great week!
