"Our room was great - good size and very clean. We had a fabulous view from our balcony across to the port of Amalfi. Breakfast was on the first floor balcony which also had a great view over the beach and port. Breakfast was not a buffet as we have been used to so options were limited but the coffee and staff were great! The location of the hotel was so central to everything in Amalfi town - the cathedral, restaurants, the bus and ferry stations. Highly recommend Hotel Residence in Amalfi. "

"The family owned hotel people were the best. Always with a happy greeting, glad to help with anything. Restaurant reservations, personal drivers, taxi’s and recommendations for places to visit. Loved our room, view, breakfast prompt in the morning, bar in hotel. We are really looking forward to returning to our hotel soon."

"Very nice hotel! We booked a room with an over look and a jacuzzi tub. The water didn’t stay warm enough to fill the tub, but the room was overall very nice. The views were beautiful, the staff so nice and accommodating, and breakfast was delicious. We would definitely stay here again! "

"Wonderful bed and breakfast right in the main town square. Very easy access and overall a great location. Maria and Maria did everything they could to make our stay a pleasure. They were both lovely and the highlight of our stay. While it wouldn’t affect our decision to stay there again, the beds are quite firm. Overall, we loved it and highly recommend this hotel. "

"Premium location with ultimate customer service. Steps from the port and across the street and one small alley to main square. We so appreciated Angelo’s help with the luggage, and Maria and Ileana for everything else. Breakfast is served on a tray in your room, so decadent and romantic:). Our room had a huge terrace and a hot tub. Just a note— Rooms are up 4 steep flights of stairs. Baggage help is great!"

"Very nice property..room was very clean, breakfast was great and we liked being able to walk to the main attractions in Amalfi but come back to our quiet hotel each evening. The views from the hotel were awesome…and there were a lot of stairs to get that view but there was an elevator! The owner gave us great recommendations for places to eat…we even went to one place twice. We also had an issue with our ferry to Ischia being cancelled due to weather and the owner was able to accommodate us for...

"This place is incredible! An amazing cliffside setting with direct access to the emerald water of the Mediterranean. However, because of its setting, there are a lot of stairs (not for those who are out of shape). There are 165 steps down to the accommodation from the main road (staff helped with luggage) and another 300 steps down to the water.
