"Everything was excellent except the room servicing. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food and meal service was v good. The only disappointments were the cleanliness of the room and bathroom. The room needed vacuuming and the loo and shower needed a good clean. Also, cups, glasses and tea hadn’t been replenished. Oh, and when we returned from sightseeing on Sat evening we couldn’t get a space in the carpark as it was full of pub visitors. Would be good if they had spaces...

"Lovely place and surroundings are beautiful. It could do with a little updating, and if you’re looking for Wi-Fi, you could be sorely disappointed. The breakfast menu is very limited and Service slightly lacking in this area. "

"Really lovely motel with lots of thoughtful touches to make the stay comfortable. The shower was incredible, like a therapy session in itself. We were less impressed by the adjoining diner. The food missed the mark a bit, although the restaurant itself and the ambience was good."

"Clean room, no staff as it was all done remotely. Dreadful shower, no power at all. Broken side light and the smallest TV ever!"

"The consistency of room service standard was not there. One day my room was cleaned well, i had 4 bottles of water i had 4 biscuits for each of us staying in the room. The next day i had no bottles of water, no biscuits, the two extra beds were not made. I was very disappointed upon entering our room after a long day out. "

"Good points: Staff were friendly, accommodation was clean and tidy and food provision and bar was satisfactory. Poor points: The room was pretty sparse and lacking any warmth or character as were the rest of the facilities. We didn’t try the Spa or Golf, so can’t comment on this. gym, sauna, hot tub type facilities (which I would be happy to pay for) are pretty standard in most ‘Spa’ hotels so I felt a bit cheated. Maybe should have looked deeper into the hotel facilities before reservation,...

"Easy to find, good parking, good variety for breakfast. Comfortable room and quiet. Evening menu, not a great choice of options, had the fish and chips which was good, accompanying peas were a little hard. Very supportive staff who are both caring and kind. "

"An absolutely beautiful authentic old inn. 10/10 on character. We had our dinner in the pub below and the food was amazing. We can't say enough good comments about this inn. "

"Das Hotel liegt mitten im Grünen und bei der Anfahrt über das Grundstück freut man sich schon auf die typisch britische, alte Hausanlage. Im Inneren des Hotels geht der äußere Flair leider etwas verloren, eher so 80er Jahre Style. Wir hatten jeder die preiswerteste Zimmer Kategorie gewählt, gute Matratzen, das Fenster ließ sich öffnen und super war auch das warme und sehr saubere Bad. "
