"The property really needs some maintenance to it.
Very dated all round.
Champneys used to hold a high standard name as a spa hotel but over the years it’s really lost its touch.
Was disappointed with the cleanliness of the spa facilities. Was in the spa for 2ish hours and not a single member of staff cleaning anything. Mainly the floors which were full of grit/hair/dirt.
Edging of pool areas have algae.
Really just needs a deep clean.
We didn’t stay for dinner however we had breakfast...

"The hotel was clean, the room well equipped and the staff were all very friendly and efficient. The only criticism we had was the food in the restaurant, whilst very nice, was not the fine dining experience we were hoping for. The menu, which includes burgers and fish & chips, didn’t reflect the surroundings of the dining room."

"A truly mesmerizing experience. The room was of a standard comparable to the one we enjoyed at the Ritz in London. The castle and its surrounding grounds were beautiful and astonishing. The architecture was impressive in its history, beauty, and timeless elegance. The staff were polite and accommodating throughout. Altogether, it was a deeply enriching experience."

"Great room with cooking faculities, staff were super helpfull and welcoming. The hotel is in a great location which is a short and pleasant walk into Cambridge centre. You get what you pay for at this hotel which is an all round luxurious hotel experience."

Impacted our stay. The staff were super helpful and friendly. Bar and restaurant were decent. The car park is small and suitable for smaller cars. Location is decent, close to restaurants and shops. "
