There were three main problems. 1. They didn’t have our reservation when we got there and we had to wait 45 minutes for them to sort it out. When we finally got the two rooms we had booked they were not ocean view but in the basement as they said the others were full.
2. The basement floor where our rooms were had open access to the pool area which was not secured with a key card lock. Anyone could walk in. And some did.
3. There were at least a dozen or so teenaged boys - not guests of the hotel- that were roaming around. Some of them were wandering inside the hotel hallway on the basement floor. Others were taking pictures of me and showing it to each other. Not safe. The hotel security was aware that they (in his words) “had no good intentions” but this made my stay extremely unrelaxing to say the least.
This leaves out problems like no towels in the room, a kitchenette sink tap which had no water, and a cabinet door that was falling off its hinges.
Not a four star hotel.
