I arrived and the owner wasn’t expecting me even though I had booked earlier that day through Expedia. The room was fine, hard mattress but I like that. A bit outdated and hard worn sheets but I slept really well.
I asked about dinner and the owner said yes 7:30. I was sat in reception alone (in the dark as the light kept going off) and served a bowl of pasta with chopped up smoked salmon and cheese, a dry crepe and a terrible packaged flan. It certainly wasn’t worth €22 I think I received a different meal to other guests or to what it usually served because I booked on the same day but I didn’t expect it to be this bad and pay the same price for basic store cupboard food. If they need notice for a proper meal then it should be made clear on the booking site / website.
Breakfast was ok, just bread, a croissant and homemade jam. The spa was €10 extra which I wasn't expecting so I ended up paying in total €39 extra (€3 for a glass of wine). The spa (hot tub) was a bit run down and dirty and it was lukewarm and I came out of it shivering.
The owners were lovely, the setting was nice and quiet but it really fell short of my expectations.
