"I’ve stayed at Ocean Gate Inn several times when visiting my son at UCSC, and the staff has always been kind and professional. One thing I really appreciate is how they go above and beyond — I’ve arrived as late as 1 a.m., and they’ve called to make sure I was still coming, which shows great customer service. "There is nothing bad I can say about this place. The place is cute, quaint and very comfortable. The staff are very welcoming and super friendly. We could literally walk out the front door and take 25 steps and be at the beach. absolutely amazing place. We will definitely be going there again."

"Fantastic location! A great grocery store across the street, close to both the beach and highway. Wonderful restaurants close as well. Very nice staff."

"Good location, main road has restaurants across street and straight path to wharf or boardwalk. Very clean rooms. TV channels work. Shampoo provided in shower. Desk lady is highly friendly and nice, quite reasonable too. AC works. Minifridge available with microwave. Down sides: shower head is fixed not a hose, large shower is spacious sliding door though. "We love the property and the breakfast, but they are cleaning their laundry with harsh chemicals, my daughter’s legs and arms were covered in hives in the morning after sleeping on the hotel sheets. We did not have the same reaction, but if your skin is sensitive I you might want to bring a sheet with you to put on top of theirs. They are definitely clean though, no bacteria can survive after such a chemical treatment 😅"

"The small cove and Beach were lovely. The unit was clean and had a small kitchen no area to sit inside but there is was a table outside. Some rooms have access to a nice deck and yard. Our room was pet friendly and probably one of the smaller units. There were some bushes on the neighboring property that obstructed our direct view to the beach would be nice if they could negotiate those being trimmed for a better view."
