  • Kinley tower is a beautiful, recently renovated folly. This grade 2 British listed building offers guests a peaceful location on a relaxed family run farm. Please be aware that due to the buildings age there a couple of areas where the ceiling heights are lower than normal.

Loved this folly! Views are amazing, it’s so unique. Beautifully set out and well equipped. Kids loved seeing the horses in the next field and we had a great evening walk down to Blast Beach. Comfy beds, we slept really well. I’d stay again!

The property was lovely, quiet and out of the way, easy to find, the hosts were in the end of the phone when needed, in my case as few times, the WiFi was spot on, parking is private and in front of the property, thoroughly enjoyable stay.

The property has everything you would need and was very clean. The location is absolutely stunning and very quiet surrounded by countryside and horses in adjacent fields. Quick and easy to warm up on colder days and nice and cool when it turned a bit warmer. Lack of shower was a bit of a problem for us but everything else was spot on.

Nice accommodation well located for walks, the beach and Seaham/Sunderland. An electric shower and some towel rails would improve the small but functional bathroom.

Weekend break

We wanted to stay in the area as my partner has family routes there , we especially wanted to walk along Seaham beach . The location of the tower was perfect, beautiful countryside and such a unique place to stay.

Great family break

Fantastic place to stay! We stayed for three nights with our two children - they loved staying in "the castle". Really well furnished and had everything we needed. The views are fantastic and some great walks in the area. Easy to drive to Durham and the Beamish Museum. Highly recommended!

Mini Castle on the Hill

Fabulous stay in this unique folly! it was lovely to see the sea and horses from the windows each day and there was plenty of activities to keep the children entertained close by - especially finding sea glass treasure on the local beaches.

Truly amazing!!!

This place is even more beautiful and unique than the pictures! We had an incredible stay here and really loved the location, wildlife and surroundings. Very clean and well kept, tastefully decorated and made for an unforgettable visit. Would love to come back one day!

Lovely short stay, super clean and cosy and fab location, total privacy and ease of access. gorgeous coastal circular walk - and into Seaham if wanted. lovey to be amongst the horses also - wonderful break for all the fam if you like peaceful cosy stays

Perfect!

We had an amazing stay at Kinley Tower. The views are lovely and it is a very peaceful spot. Surrounded by countryside the walks from the Tower, including along the beach are fantastic! The Tower was equipped with everything you could need and spotlessly clean! The owners made every part of the booking/check in and departure very easy. They even went out of their way to return something to us that we had left behind. We would wholeheartedly recommend a stay in your own little piece of history!

Beautiful Accommodation / Location

Brilliant place to stay as a family, very clean and lovely place to stay, location by a private farm in the sticks you’re surrounded by grass, views, water and horses it’s beautiful. Great size accommodation and with modern kitchen and bathroom making staying here great. Located close to mainly areas, Beamish, Newcastle, Durham etc. Can’t recommend this place enough a lovely cozy warm stay.
