With enough space to comfortably accommodate the whole family, this waterfront home provides amazing early morning views of the Sunrise and evening views of a Full Moon. Relax on the large back porch facing the pool and river. Make Plans to enjoy a true coastal vacation whether in the pool or on the dock. You can enjoy days of relaxation, fishing, swimming, kayaking and crabbing right out your back door.

You’ll be just 3 miles from close by historical sites, 10 miles from downtown savannah (where you can find all the boutique shopping, fine dining restaurants, and family-friendly activities this city has to offer) and just 25 miles from Tybee Island beach.

House is in a beautiful quiet neighborhood. We had a gorgeous view of the river. The house itself is beautiful, clean and inviting. There were six of us staying for my daughter‘s 30th birthday and there was plenty of space for us all. All 4 bedrooms are large. Plenty of parking space outside. Pool is also large and clean although It was a little too cool for us to swim. Kayaks and floats available for the river. Would definitely stay here again!

LISA is a great host. The house is set up very well for privacy in your bedrooms, but the gathering areas are very nice. The decorating is well done also. We were unable to enjoy the pool because it had gotten cold, but it looked very inviting. Easy check-in and everything was very clean. I would recommend staying here..

I cannot say enough good things about this rental, the host and our stay.There were 3 generations of us and the lay out of this house ensured there was more than enough space to not feel cramped. The pool size and back porch area was very nice and the kids and adults enjoyed the fishing. I think the 10yr olds won the 'who caught the most' challenge.Lisa is the absolute best host we have rented with. We had the opportunity to meet her and her husband upon arrival and they were just as friendly in person as was all communication from booking to departure.The house is in a safe and quiet neighborhood and close to going into Savannah for the day. We would love to have the opportunity to stay here again in the future.Thank you Lisa for allowing others to share your family home.

The house on Moon River is the perfect marriage of comfort and outdoor accessibility. We brought our boat with us and the proximity of the boat ramp and floating dock at the house made it a breeze. We caught plenty of redfish and blue crabs from the dock out back. If you want to get off the beaten path to fish and enjoy the outdoors this place checks all the boxes. Owners were super easy to work with and check in/out was very easy.

the house is so spacious and laid out perfectly to give everyone enough space. It is a truly relaxing environment. If you love comfortable beds, swinging on the porch, swimming in the pool (that has some great shade!) and boating/fishing....this is the place for you!

Beautiful Home and Great Location! Lisa is very responsive and a wonderful host. The younger adults enjoyed the pool and did a bit of fishing off the pier. The house had everything we needed....accommodations were very comfortable with plenty of indoor and outdoor space. I highly recommend Moon River House! We are hoping to book again for our next Savannah trip!

We had an absolutely wonderful weekend getaway with the entire family! Although the house had TVs in every room, we never needed them—there was just too much to enjoy outside. Between the sparkling pool and the gorgeous dock, there was always something to do: fishing, kayaking, swimming, or simply relaxing by the water. The home was spotless and decorated with a charming beach theme that made it feel cozy and welcoming. Our host was excellent—quick to respond and so helpful with any questions. Most importantly, The Moon River House gave our family the perfect place to unwind, laugh, and make lasting memories together. We're already planning our next trip to return!

Majestic Setting

My family thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful home, which has a majestic waterfront setting, for my Mom's 80th birthday. Lisa was an absolute pleasure to work with in coordinating our visit. This property is a rare find and highly recommend!

Lisa was the hostess with the mostess!! Seriously the house was stunning, very clean, well stocked with all the things in the kitchen. The pool was amazing and you cannot beat the deck with a cup of coffee and that sunrise. Absolutely 5 stars!

The interior was clean but the outside area where our family enjoys the pool and relaxing on the patio was not clean or appealing. There where things like bathtub clog the first night of our stay and no lights in the showers (which we had to replace) shower heads where clogged the first night and I feel the cleaning staff should have known this so I was not completely sure showers and tubs had been cleaned so had to clean them myself to feel safe for my family of 10 to use. Because of these issues I who have been renting vacation homes for 20 years would rate the property a 5 out of 10

Exceeded our expectations

This was one of the most peaceful places we’ve ever stayed. House is well equipped and so nice. There were 6 of us and there was plenty of room.So much to do…swimming, fishing, kayaking. Lisa, the owner was fantastic, making sure we had everything we needed. Grocery stores and great restaurants are close. Hope to come back in the near future.

A Fun, Family Getaway

The Moon River House provided all our family needed for an amazing week away. From fishing on the dock to soaking up the sunshine by the pool, there was so much for everyone to enjoy. Let’s also talk about location! The house was in perfect distance to both Tybee and Savannah, allowing us to visit both the beach and historic landmarks.Above all, Lisa was wonderful to work with and was quick to respond if we had any questions. We look forward to coming back!

Beautiful peaceful place!

I cannot say enough about this wonderful rental. Truly we stay in many wonderful VRBO rentals, but this was one of the best! Started and ended our days on the back porch with its fabulous (peaceful) river view. In between had easy access to wherever we wanted/needed to go thus excellent location. House has so many extra touches; wine cooler, ice maker, air pump (for pool floats), kayaks, fishing poles...whatever one needed seemed to be there. The lovely surroundings (front and back) added to the comfortable and welcoming feel of this exquisite home. You can't go wrong with a stay at Moon River House.
