Enjoy fresh air, sunshine, and country views in this custom built log home. A scenic Upper Peninsula destination perfect for all seasons. The spacious living room, kitchen, and sunroom provide ample room for a comfortable gathering of friends and family. This home has five bedrooms, a family room with sleeper sofa, and four bathrooms for a total occupancy of 12. Enjoy a hot tub, sauna, spacious backyard, covered front porch, back patio, custom built log furniture, basketball court, ample parking for all your toy haulers, children's room, built in grill, and garage. Close to snowmobile trail, Soo Locks, Brimley State Park, Tahquamenon Falls, LSSU, Mackinac Island and more, this is the perfect getaway for your U.P. vacation. You can be assured of a healthy stay for your family as this is a no smoking/no vaping of any type of product property.

The space
3,300 square ft (& 800 sq ft garage) – Propane & Electric Fireplace – Hot Tub & Sauna – Central AC

UPPER LEVEL: Master: custom built king log bed, private AC unit, custom walk-in closets, custom built log furniture, and private master bath (dual shower heads, washer & dryer, double custom-built vanity). Bedroom 2: custom built queen log bed & closet. Bedroom 3: custom built log twin bunks, built in shelving unit, & walk in closet.
MAIN LEVEL: Spacious Living Room: vaulted ceilings, sectional sofa, full sofa, oversized chair, sitting chair, smart TV, coffee tables, custom built stone propane fireplace, & custom log staircases to upper and lower level. Kitchen: open concept dining/kitchen spacious & fully stocked with new fridge, gas stove, microwave, coffee maker, BOSCH dishwasher, trash compacter, all essential cookware, custom dining table seats 8, 3 bar stools, and sunroom with electric fireplace, bench, high-top two-seater table and half bath. Back Entry: spacious entry off garage with custom built coat rack, closet, and seating.
LOWER LEVEL: Family room with queen sectional sleeper sofa, two washers & dryers, foosball table, smart TV, & games. Front bedroom with custom built queen log bed & sofa. Back bedroom with custom built queen log bed, closet, and half bath (stand up shower).

GARAGE: two door garage with family yard games & sauna.

OUTDOOR LIVING: covered front porch with custom built log furniture including porch swing. Backyard deck with seating for 8, built in grill unit, high top with seating for 4, and hot tub. Custom built cement firepit w/starter wood and chairs, playground, decorative pond with fountain. Scenic country views.

DRIVEWAY: Paved, ample parking, basketball court (overflow parking available, please inquire).

Guest Access
This custom-built log home is located in a rural area with scenic country acreage with plenty of space and privacy. The home is two miles South of Sault Ste. Marie, so you can enjoy the quietness of country living while only a few minutes to town. The home is a ten-minute drive to LSSU, Soo Locks, boat ramps, beaches, and rivers, and the home has direct access to the snowmobile trail. The home is less than an hour drive to the Mackinac Island ferry, Tahquamenon Falls, and many other popular local attractions.

Additional Information
This home is located in a rural neighborhood with additional short-term rentals and neighbors nearby. Each rental has plenty of space and privacy, including separate driveways. We do ask that all guests respect the privacy of others, utilize the space provided in the listing, and observe the quiet hours of 10:00 P.M. – 6:00 A.M. to allow all to enjoy the serene experience of rural living. We welcome snowmobilers and other guests with trailers and ask that you please inquire prior to booking about overflow parking.

Guest access
Guests have private access to the entire home, garage, front yard, and backyard. This is a stand alone home structure.

Linked to the UP snowmobile trail.

Perfect

We were coming up to the UP for a family memorial. I wanted us to be able to be together to support each other or have room to be alone. David and Tammy's home was perfect. The lay out is spacious. They have provided a lot of indoor fun activities as well as outdoor room to roam. I would absolutely consider coming back! Thank you Tammy and David for your quick communication, but more importantly for the use of your lovely home.

Beautiful log home

My husband and I along with our 3 daughters and their families has a very night 3 nights stay at your home. The home is very clean and a nice layout for a big group like us. The little ones really enjoyed the play set in the back yard. We cooked meals and everything we needed was there. It’s in a great location but on a nice private area. The house was equipped with every last thing anyone would need. We would definitely recommend it!

Absolutely perfect for our visit to LSSU!

The property was perfect for us and our adult children as we gathered to celebrate our son’s graduation from LSSU. The home was spotless, very welcoming and perfectly stocked with everything that we needed to make our long weekend stay comfortable. Tammy was very communicative and kind! We will definitely be back!

Great place to stay!

This home is in a great location for access to the snowmobile trail. With plenty of parking for trailers on the property. Tammy is an excellent host. She responds quickly and was very accommodating. Definitely plan to visit again!

Excellent rental

This is a wonderful rental. It has a large, extremely well stocked kitchen that made meal prep so easy. The rest of the house was just as nice. It is perfect for family get togethers- plenty of room and plenty to do. We enjoyed the hot Tub even in the sun zero temperatures. The hosts were so nice and understanding. tub, even

Fabulous for Families

Tammy & David’s home was perfect for our family of 6 adults and 3 children. The online photo’s accurately depict the home and amenities. It is conveniently located for quick access to shopping, the University and The Locks. While the home is child friendly(outdoor playground, sleep & play, ping pong, basketball etc) it isn’t child proofed (as Tammy & David indicate on their listing) so if you are traveling with small children you may need to bring a few things (eg. high chair). We positioned a bench across the stairs to the lower area to ensure our toddler was safe. The home provided everything we needed for our stay, we just had to add food and beverages. Both Tammy & David responded quickly to our calls and emails. We would definitely return to this home should we have reason to be in Sault Ste Marie again. Thanks so much for sharing your home with our family.

It’s hockey season!

Brought the family up to watch OHL games. The property is close to town but far enough away to be on our own. It was immaculate inside the home. Bears a plenty as decor which was really cool. We even saw a porcupine… We will be back for sure.

Great Spaces--Lots of Stairs--Beautiful Home!

Enjoyable! So great for a large group! From the description we thought there was a bedroom on the main floor, but 2 bedrooms were in the basement, and 3 bedrooms upstairs. Our handicapped friend was able to sleep on the sofa, but there was only a powder room on the main floor. We loved the kitchan and great room!! The master bathroom was super! Bedrooms could use a chair.

Wonderful stay in Soo

We stayed as a family of 7 adults, a 2 year old and a 1 year old. There was plenty of space and it was the most well stocked VRBO I have stayed in. There were plenty of games and activities to keep everyone happy including the awesome sauna and hot tub. Beds were comfortable and the home was nice and clean.

As advertised!

This is a just a great property, I wish we could have stayed longer! It is very convenient to Sault Ste Marie while still maintaining a country feel, and the house is very well equipped and was very clean. The host was super responsive to communications and we loved every minute of our stay!
