"The room was much smaller than the photos seem, while sitting at the end of the bed you can touch the wall. It was so humid and muggy in the room, the bathroom also smelt like eggs, and the shower didn’t drain well. We found the biggest cockroach in the bathroom that I was so paranoid to sleep. The tv didn’t turn on, and the AC hardly worked. It wasn’t worth what we paid at all."

"Location, location, location !
Right in the heart of the historic centre. Easy to walk most places.
Staff were very helpful and suggested some great places to eat/drink.
Very nice to be able to get a glass of wine or cup of coffee in the lobby area. But only realised on the last afternoon.
‘Flat’ was very clean and they maximised the available space to include a bedroom, bathroom and small kitchenette. Even had a balcony with enough space for 2 chairs. Just enough space in the flat for 2...

"Casa Sao Bento was exactly as the pictures. All the charming details made our stay that much more special. As first time visitors to Europe, I missed the memo of needing ask if the room had a refridgerator. This one did not, and we prefer a private refrigerator.
Also, I am sure it is a common issue for certain areas of the city, but the strong smell of sewage was not disclaimed in the listing. The hosts did everything to have the room cleaned and aired out everyday, but the smell was strong....

"The property was beautiful, location convenient. It's steps away from the Santa Justa Lift, a supermarket, and Rossio station. Luis made check-in super easy. He walked us over and assisted with our luggage. The LIFT team was very communicative - there were various methods to contact them.
There's street buskers that sing the same 10 songs with mics and amps every night. They stop at around midnight but it could be annoying if you need to wake up early."
