The Hideaway Cottage is a one bedroom, one bath, unit located in the newly renovated, Palmview Inn. This beautifully appointed cottage features a king bed in the master bedroom, a sleeper sofa in the living room, a full bathroom and a comprehensive kitchen. Festooned with gorgeous palm trees and an ever present ocean breeze, Palmview Inn has been the choice of many travelers year after year. Close to beaches, dining and shopping, this property boasts one of the best locations on the island!



The Space:

The Hideaway Cottage is one of 6 cottages within the historic Palmview of Sanibel, each one beautifully appointed with a distinct theme. The Palmview Inn offers vibrant fully equipped cottages within walking distance to Sanibel’s famous shelling beaches and the Gulf of Mexico. Complimentary adult bikes and beach equipment are provided to explore the nearby bike paths, or to enjoy a day at the beach full of fun under the sun.



We are pet friendly for up to two dogs up to 50lbs each. If you will be traveling with pets, please notify us after confirming your booking so that we can update your reservation accordingly. Per pet fee of $75 will apply.

Guest Access:

Guests enjoy free access to our Gigabit mesh internet service, bikes, beach gear, grill and cooking area as well as a communal laundry room. Experience beautiful, lush grounds with colorful vegetation and multiple outdoor private seating areas, including a Tiki hut, hammock, and dining tables with large shades.



The Neighborhood:

The cottage is situated on the desirable East End of Sanibel, which is equidistant to almost every sought after beach on Sanibel. You will be near restaurants, shopping, and activity, while still far enough removed to be reminded that you are on vacation and provided ample opportunity to socially distance away from the hustle bustle that can characterize island life. This location is also advantageous in that it provides quick on and off access to the causeway, as to allow guests a quick commute into and from Fort Myers without having to contest with seasonal traffic.

Guests must complete rental agreement prior to the stay

A non-refundable cancellation fee of $100 will apply for reservations cancelled prior to the cancellation policy window. This fee covers our credit card processing fees on a refunded deposit payment.

Extremely comfortable place to stay and bonus you can bring your pets. Nice outdoor area to have a mimosa by or cook on the grill! Close to all restaurants and shopping. Walk to beach as well. Would definitely recommend.

Return to Sanibel

We stayed at this property in lieu of our usual place which is still being renovated from the hurricane. We were pleased with it. Everything was there for our week stay. Would recommend it. Would stay there again if our usual property is not available

Lovely

A very quaint and cute place to stay. The manger was able to communicate with us frequently and we did not need to speak with him because everything, except one thing, was perfect and the property was as listed in VRBO. They need to clean/replace the burners on the gas grill and scrub the grill itself.

Hideaway cottage was not good experience people next door had a lot of people standing in front of our door drinking and partying that we couldn’t even open the door . Stacie was super nice and moved us to another cottage . Other ways our two day stay would of been total disaster since that group was still at it yesterday

THE HIDEAWAY

Great location … quiet and close to the beach and bike paths . Has space outdoors for sitting and/or cooking out. Unit is a little rundown. Towels didn’t dry well and had a slight smell. AC is noisy. FIOS cable didn’t work and unable to get it fixed. Found a maintenance person on the premises. He tried to fix it but couldn’t because Xfinity service was out. Apparently this happens from time to time. The cleaning crew uses strongly perfumed cleaning supplies. The smell was unpleasant, made me sneeze and my nose run for most of my first day. The smell lasted until third day. Maybe the cleaning crew should use unscented cleaning supplies. I would expect management to check everything between guests to ensure everything works properly.
