The location is great, the staff is great, but the main issue we had an the reason for our low rating is that the moment we walked into our room it smelled like mold and mildew. The smell was unbearable and my 3 year old has asthma, which I was worried about. I called the front desk as soon as I noticed this and they said they would send the housekeeper supervisor up to speak to me. She was very sweet. I asked if they could just switch out rooms since I was worried about my 3 year olds asthma being triggered by this and let alone the smell was unbearable. She said they were at full capacity, but could offer to bring in a dehumidifier to see if that would help and she would check in with me. They brought the machine up ASAP. Yes, the machine helped, but it was only while the machine was running and as soon as it was off, we could smell it again, so obviously this was only a bandaid fix to the real issue. They ended up leaving the machine for about 3 nights and we left it on. I figured we weren't going to stay in the room for most of our stay, but still was inconvenient. They ended up taking the machine out for our last 2 nights and the smell again was not great! I just didn't want to spend my trip arguing!! The staff was really sweet, but I also noticed these dehumidifiers in the lobby area one day and you can also smell the musty smell once you get off the elevator on floor 10, so they definitely have a mold/mildew problem that should be addressed ASAP!!!
