The overall stay was okay. The apartment was fairly clean, bed and pillows were a bit hard. It’s located in a gated community which give the feeling of safety but is only ideal if you have a rental car. The neighborhood felt safe. We even walked from the Main Street to the apartment and felt okay. I wish I had done more research about the location as I thought things were closer based on the description. T-Mobile District is 25-30 mins away driving, Condado Beach 23mins, Old San Juan is 30-35 mins. Uber can’t come directly to the apartment since they would need to call the host to open the gate so if you’re taking uber you’ll need to meet them at the front (7 mins walk max).The host is not very responsive, the only message I got from him was the pre arrival. Messaged him several times throughout the stay but never got a response. The gate code didn’t work upon check in, I called but no answer, so had to get out of the uber and figured out getting in then walked to the apartment. There is a remote that opens the main gate, since we were leaving at 5am I wanted to arrange getting out since I didn’t want to risk heading to the gate with the hope someone was leaving at that hour and I could go through. I messaged the host from the night before so we could decide on what to do, there was never a response so I decided to take the remote and left it at the gate and send him a picture. There is no pedestrian walk through for the gate so the remote is always needed to go through.
