The hotel is GORGEOUS and I was super excited for a luxury experience to go with the price.
The architecture, arched windows with high quality floor to ceiling drapes, and art deco touches everywhere are as beautiful as the photos. The staff was professional and nice.
The ability to add early check in and late check out (for a fee) are a huge bonus, especially for a hotel near an airport!
The mattress is flimsy and linens are scratchy motel quality- far from luxury. The pillows are hard, lumpy, and the most uncomfortable I've ever slept on.
The amenities are lacking... There's a very limited hour jazz bar with drinks and an express limited menu indoor coffee bar.
No on site restaurant nor parking ($47 valet fee unless you have a handicap placard). Ice machine and microwave on main floor. Some rooms are down a few stairs from floor level, so be aware if you have any mobility issues.
No sound proofing with outside noise and inside noise are intense inside your room.
Very very dim lighting in the rooms with very warm 60watt equivalent bulbs, with one overhead over the door that flickered and buzzed all night with no way to turn it off and my specific room had a suspicious chunky stain on the floor and a vomit odor.
A few minor updates (mattress toppers and even just $5 supercenter pillows) would elevate the experience that they're obviously going for with such a beautiful building in such a prime location.
As is, I would not stay again.
