If I would have know the owners were attached the property I would have chosen another one. I did like the area. The kitchen living area is very small.

A bit misleading..

This house was clean, and check-in/check-out were a breeze, but the listing is a bit misleading. It stated each bedroom had a queen bed, that the 3rd bedroom also had a double futon, and a double futon in the living room. However, there was no double futon in either space so even though the listing says it sleeps 7, it only sleeps 6. Towels and linens were supplied, but there were no hand towels for the bathroom nor was there a kitchen towel to dry dishes. The listing stated parking was available, but we didn’t realize that would mean parking on the street behind their vehicles since they were both in the driveway. The owners had stated quiet hours from 9PM to 7AM, but they did not respect those hours themselves. They were quite loud at night with their kids running around above us. I think next time we vacation we will make sure it’s not someplace where the owners are still onsite.

Excellent location! Close to beach, Taraval for restaurants and muni to anywhere in the City! Lovely backyard, best water pressure in the showers of any place I’ve ever stayed! Two bathrooms and three bedrooms. Small kitchen with full size fridge, sink and stove. Nice couch, tv (1 in bedroom) and small dining table. It’s not huge but very functional! Very comfortable beds and access to laundry right outside your door. The family upstairs is lovely and very helpful. The kids are well behaved and very polite. Great hosts all around! I highly recommend this property if you’re visiting San Francisco!

Crash pad

We were visiting the San Francisco area for the first time and this place gave us a great starting point. The walking distance from the zoo and beach was great and only a short drive for the wharfs and Golden Gate Bridge.

Good location, opportunity for improvement

The location near the beach was great and the neighborhood is clean but the amenities were a little lacking. The coffee maker was non operational, listing features a hot tub but temperature was set to 67 degrees. Quiet hours are 9pm-7am per the listing but property owners were stomping around, kids running directly above our bedroom with loud TV until nearly 11pm both nights we were there. We all agreed that we would have been more comfortable and saved money staying in a hotel.

The only comment is that the listing is slightly wrong in that there are 3 beds and only one couch/futon, but overall quite happy with the stay.

Nice little neighborhood close to beach and zoo

My 2 adult children and I stayed in the property and it worked out great! There were a couple of nice coffee shops and restaurants nearby and a MUNI bus stop. It is close to the beach and zoo but pretty far from downtown and many attractions they were interested. Still we enjoyed the hot tub and the owner was great to work with.

Misleading Description

The property is in the basement through the garage. The photo leads you to believe you are staying in the house. The owners voices and TV are so loud that you want to leave the room. No heat unless the owner decides to give it. All in all a bad thing . Especially for the money. shame on VRBO

Quiet Area, Comfy Beds

My family, our puppy and I stayed for 3 nights. The host was very friendly the one time we had to interact with him, as was his son, who politely said hello to us. The beds are VERY comfortable! Nice, clean towels, and this darling lower level had everything you could imagine forgetting-q-tips, mouthwash, ziplock bags in the kitchen, etc. My only gripe is the hot tub. Part of the reason we booked this place was because it was offered. It was cold when we got in, so we turned it on, but it never heated up. Yes, like other reviews you can hear footsteps of a small child at times run across the floor, or the lull of a television, but it didn't bother us, nor was it too often. :) Will consider staying here again! Quick 10 minute walk to the beach, super quiet and safe. :)

Few days

Street parking was difficult, had to park quite far away! May sleep 5-6 but the apartment would not be good for 5-6 adults, for seating or eating. Owners children running around early morning and evening above apartment. Simple things like cutlery and crockery all different with only 2 bowls, so have to eat in shifts!!!

Could hav been outstanding

Pros: comfortable bed, perfect location to family who live in SFO, and responsive reply when we needed a little heat. Cons: had to cover couch in gathering area ( it was disgusting). When it had to be moved because we’d dropped something, underneath contained dirty socks, dog toy, and filth. The walls of rooms need repainting, again disgusting. The children upstairs were loud, lots of running around early in the morning and late in the evening. I think they forgot people were downstairs. Someone put a lot of time in remodeling bathrooms, which were great. So many little details, would improve this listing.

Nice, but not quite what we expected.

We enjoyed staying at the property, but there were some things that took us by surprise. We needed to walk through our hosts garage to reach our unit. Sometimes we needed to skirt around his car. The description was not correct in terms for bedroom number three. In the description, it says the bedroom number three contains one queen bed, and a sofa bed. That is not the case. Bedroom number three contains only the queen bed. The sofa bed is located in the family room. This was unfortunate, as it required that all adults stay out of the family room until everyone was awake. The mattress of the sofa bed was deteriorating, and in need of repair, the kitchen could have been stocked with more cooking pots, and there were some areas of the unit (behind the master bed, for example) that really could have been cleaned more thoroughly. Finally, it is worth noting that the residents upstairs are very easy to hear. We heard conversations through the floor, and at least once even thought that their cell phone buzzing was our own buzzing cell phone. Running around and stomping above our heads were certainly things that we had to deal with throughout the day. That being said, it is a full 2 bath, 3 bedroom unit, well cared for and about 30 minutes from everything we wanted to see. The host was responsive to questions and replaced a broken can opener quickly. The neighborhood felt safe and we appreciated having access to laundry.

Disappointed

The host lived in the upper level of this house. The hosts children were running around making noise at night until I knocked on their door asking them to stop making so much noise. Bedrooms were adequate but living area and kitchen would not accommodate more than 4 adults. Parking was scarce and on the street. I would not recommend this property.

Easy access to city and surrounding areas.

We have been staying at VROBs coast to coast for 10 years and this is one of our favorites. It was the best location for our plans in the city as well north and south of the city. We enjoyed the comfortable beds and appreciated the upgrades and cleanliness of the home. Parking was always available which is rare in SF.

A nice place in a residential neighborhood of SF

This location met all our expectations. It was in a convenient location for the activities we had planned. It is located in a residential neighborhood which gave us a lot of options for walks with our dog, Tatum. It's a few minutes walk to the Pacific Ocean, and we walked along the ocean to Golden Gate Park. We visited the windmills and Queen Wilhelmina garden there. It was a short distance to the dog park at Sigmund Stern Recreation Grove, and the scenic North Lake Bridge. The property was clean and easy to access. The facilities at the property worked well. The master bedroom had its own bathroom, which my brother appreciated.

Great property in nice location

Great property. You have the entire downstairs area that’s separate from the owners. Bedrooms are big and 2 good bathrooms. 6 of us stayed there with our dog and had no issues. Owner is very friendly and responsive. Parking is on street but plenty of space available. We took Ubers to the city which were available in a few minutes. Would 100% stay there again.

Destination Wedding

There was some dust and the master bedroom rug had stains, but otherwise it was an enjoyable stay. Kids loved the hot tub and the water pressure and temp stayed hot for all 6 of us. Would recommend to all and stay again. Weren’t told as far as we know to not park out front from 12-2pm as we got a parking ticket on the one day we stayed at the house during that time.
