"Check in and locating the house we’re really easy with great arrival information from the owner. The house had everything we needed with lots of space. We were very comfortable and the private space to park at the top of the village was a great help. A fantastic location in the village."

"Lovely house in great location - had everything you needed in the kitchen and property even including a colection of crabbing buckets and nets that the children loved. Staithes itself is beautiful and a real hidden gem - the house could not be in a more central location. "

"AVOID AT ALL COSTS Overall a really horrible stay. From dirty linen to really poor communication it was not a great stay. I definitely do NOT recommend. Holes on the wall, damaged furniture, a dirty sock on the floor, beds not made, smoking alarm coming off the ceiling, dirty linen, no toilet paper… Contact with the host as also been appalling. Been trying to resolve this situation and still waiting on a solution so AVOID! "

"Absolutely brilliant cottage. All new fixtures and fittings with everything you could need for your stay. The drains smell came and went- not sure where it came from and it didn’t really bother us. Location fantastic for walks along the coast and short drive to other coastal towns. Would recommend"

"Arrived with screwdriver and saw blade in stairs and half done job on gate for stairs. Overall cottage not up to date, more old persons home and grubby around the edges. Cooker was grubby, light didn't work. Toaster only half worked, other half very slow. Dog bowl and dog blankets in living room and kitchen. Not having a dog this felt not set for us. Lots of dog hairs. Ended up eating out lots to avoid eating in. Cost us more as a holiday. Cottage needs a full update/upgrade to fit modern...

"Cottage was ok but after booking through hotels.com I was contacted by Host & Stay and advised I had to pay an additional fee for a damage waiver. Alternatively I could pay a deposit but they take an admin fee so you don’t get the full amount back plus they state they may take 14 days to refund."

"This was a great property for our family to have rented as it was spacious and had all the amenities that we needed. Lovely location within walking distance of the beautiful sandy beach and local shops. Would definitely recommend this property and destination to overs. "

"Great weekend in a beautiful place, plenty of space for us all to be and each bedroom very comfortable. Easy access for taking a walk on the cliffs to saltburn which a few of the group attempted! All in all a great property that was clean and spacious and good for large groups."
