"An idyllic village setting, the kids couldn’t have been happier with the distance to the harbour where they spent most of their time rock pooling and messing about in the sea. The dogs were also big fans of the fact that the property was only a stones throw away from the beach. It was a bit of a hike up the hill to park the car every day but we were made aware of that before we booked so knew what we were letting ourselves in for! "AVOID AT ALL COSTS Overall a really horrible stay. From dirty linen to really poor communication it was not a great stay. I definitely do NOT recommend. Holes on the wall, damaged furniture, a dirty sock on the floor, beds not made, smoking alarm coming off the ceiling, dirty linen, no toilet paper… Contact with the host as also been appalling. Been trying to resolve this situation and still waiting on a solution so AVOID! "

"Absolutely brilliant cottage. All new fixtures and fittings with everything you could need for your stay. The drains smell came and went- not sure where it came from and it didn’t really bother us. Location fantastic for walks along the coast and short drive to other coastal towns. Would recommend"

"Cosy clean cottage with everything you need. Lovely village and some nice walks. Lovely and cool inside during the hot weather. The only downside was i thought from the photos that the garden was fully enclosed but there was a big hole in the wall leading onto the road which meant we couldn’t let our two small dogs loose, however we did mange to temporarily block it up with garden items for our stay! It’s also worth noting that the neighbour shares access through the garden which we didn’t...

"Arrived with screwdriver and saw blade in stairs and half done job on gate for stairs. Overall cottage not up to date, more old persons home and grubby around the edges. Cooker was grubby, light didn't work. Toaster only half worked, other half very slow. Dog bowl and dog blankets in living room and kitchen. Not having a dog this felt not set for us. Lots of dog hairs. Ended up eating out lots to avoid eating in. Cost us more as a holiday. Cottage needs a full update/upgrade to fit modern...

"Had a lovely few days in Windsor Cottage. Property was as described and ideally located next to a convenience store. Just a short walk to the beach and all the amenity that Saltburn has to offer. Highly recommend."

"Cottage was ok but after booking through hotels.com I was contacted by Host & Stay and advised I had to pay an additional fee for a damage waiver. Alternatively I could pay a deposit but they take an admin fee so you don’t get the full amount back plus they state they may take 14 days to refund."
