This was a clean very quiet and affordable stay. It was very close to downtown, college, and the TACOL thrift store. The owner was on site. She was keen to help us with extending our reservations one more day without a problem. She asked if we needed any services or extra linen and provided extra towels- straighten bedding. I enjoyed the dahl horse in front of the hotel- dedicated to honoring a family member. Thank you for the stay. We enjoyed our time their.

it is an okay property for $65 a night but nothing to write home about. it was mostly quiet and clean. some tv problems. Did not eat breakfast on property.

There was nothing good to say about this property. I will comment about all the problems of this property. 1. The mattresses were very hard and most uncomfortable. 2 the shower faucet fell off while turning it on. There was not a way to hold water in the bathtub in oder to take a bath. And worst of all we ran out of hot water for just the two of us. 3. The operation of the TV was a joke where they handed out instructions on how to use it.

Overnight visit

We were in town to attend a memorial service. The room was clean but could use some updates. I would suggest calling ahead to confirm your reservation. When we arrived they didn't have us down for the iing room we reserved, thankfully they had two rooms left. It is a cute town and the person behind the desk was helpful with suggestions on where to eat.

I had to have a late check-in and the owners went well beyond other hotels by personally calling me and walking me through how the process would work since I was arriving so late. When arriving at 11:00 pm, the room was ready for me. It was seamless and the easiest check-in experience I have ever had. I will definitely be staying there again.

Great, motel, priced right.

The Viking Motel was a fine place to stay in Lindsborg. It was half the cost of the lovely Drom Sott, which is a completely different small, quaint hotel with Swedish breakfast downtown. The Viking was clean, convenient to town, and fairly priced. Don’t expect much for breakfast besides coffee and cold cereal or a cellophaned roll, but that’s not expected anyway. It’d be nice to have a coffee pot in the room like most motels do. We could have used another blanket on the beds, but when we realized that, it was too late to ask. We just cranked up the heat. It’s clean, it’s basic, it’s just fine. The liquor store is right next door 🙂 and so is Pizza Hut. But go downtown to the Ol Stuga for great sandwiches, burgers, and friendly service or to the Crown and Rye for a great meal or Sunday Brunch. And PIE.

Good experience

Overall it was a positive experience. Checkin was easy and the young man working the front desk was great. He offered us donuts and coffee for the morning, but we had breakfast plans. The room was dated, but surprisingly clean. They had a newer tv and gave helpful instructions on how to operate. The bed was ok, not super comfortable, but it worked. We enjoyed our stay and it was quiet all night. It was really cold the night we stayed, but the heat in the room worked well and kept it warm. Just could use some updating, but this was expected in this hotel.

Basic but convenient motel

We enjoyed this small motel for the most part. It was convenient to downtown and the college campus. The room was basic but clean. It could use a little updating. The built in ac/heater unit was not working well so it was a bit chilly in the room about 60-65 degrees. The breakfast is mostly snack foods like prepackaged cakes, honey buns, mini donuts, coffee and tang. There were cheerios and milk too. We liked the low cost and general space. We would stay here again.

Staff welcoming; replaced a nonfunctioning refrigerator immediately. Simple, clean accommodations. Detailed written directions on how to run the TV - VERY helpful for one who seldom uses such controls. Have never seen this helpful aid in any other motel. Would stay here in the future.

The owners were very helpful and attentive. They are making an effort to upgrade rooms and generally good. An unusually tall tub is odd and difficult. My wife did not risk getting in for a shower. Minor quality construction issues, sticking doors that were difficult to open or close at the bathroom.

Check-in was a breeze. The young gentleman at the desk was very friendly and helpful, as was his mother later that evening and the next morning when we were about to check out. The room was clean, and had no smell about it. The TV was nice size so you didn't have to squint to watch it, and the beds were extremely comfortable. I had no problem sleeping restfully. Five stars to this motel. Oh, and it is pet friendly.
