Find your "True North" at Sunday River in our Immaculate and impeccably cared for 4 Bedroom 3 Bath vacationers dream home. Our inviting, warm and beautiful log style home is a winter wonderland, a spring celebration of renewed life, a fall artists palette of color and a summer outdoor paradise for any active vacationer. Located on 3 secluded acres in the Powder Ridge community in Newry, Maine, our home is only 4 miles from Sunday River Ski Resort. In fact you will have winter views of the slopes, and when the leaves fill in you will have peaceful seclusion. if privacy is what you are looking for summer privacy is what you will get. If you are not an active outdoor adventurer then our home will indulge you in the unbelievable sense of relaxation. Enjoy shopping and dining in Historic Bethel Village, less than 10 minutes away.

True North is a four season vacation rental that is perfect for every activity Maine has to offer; downhill and cross country skiing, snowmobiling, tubing, snowshoeing, skating, hiking, fishing, kayaking, ATV riding, mountain biking, zip-lining, geocaching and horseback riding and golfing. The Sunday River Golf Course (5 minutes away) was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr.. This course features an 18-hole championship course that winds through one of Maine’s most picturesque forests in a truly spectacular mountain setting.

True North features over 3,000 square feet of living space, including four bedrooms, three baths (master on suite with Jacuzzi tub), cathedral ceiling great room with 15 foot fieldstone fireplace, large open kitchen with island featuring stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, large dining area, large loft overlooking the great room, 1,000 square foot deck, plus screened in porch. A large entertainment area with, bar, pool table, Ping-Pong, air hockey, Wii, large screen TV and DVD player. New Saltwater hot tub and LG Air Conditioning units.

True North as absolutely perfect for our holiday family get together. My wife and I hosted our son and daughter with significant others plus five grandkids (0 to 5 in age). Spent the days sledding just outside the front door and good times in the evening, enough space for everyone to spread out. Location to Sunday River Resort, was ideal. Definitely looking to return. Host (Ed) was great communicator.

Great Location

This was the perfect spot for Sunday River activities. The house was perfect, with pool table and air hockey table plus a wonderful hot tub it was nice to come back to after a day of fun. LOVED all the light switches were labeled, it is a huge help!! Only one down side would be the rules on cleaning, we had to remove our own trash (all cans) and drop off up the road, clean the grill, put chems in hot tub after use, put all dirty towels in laundry room and wash all dishes. For a 225 cleaning fee they should at least take care of trash and clean the grill.

Best weekend at the best house!

We absolutely loved staying at True North. Ed was an amazing host with great communication. The house was clean, beautiful, and very comfortable for our two families to stay at. The location was perfect and very close to Sunday River. We had a great weekend and will absolutely be back!

Ski Weekend

This is am amazing house for a ski trip! House has plenty of room for 3 families to stay ( 6 adults and 3 children.) The kids loved the games and the adults enjoyed the hot tub after a day of skiing. We will be back next year!

Ed was wonderful to communicate with...

We enjoyed our stay at True North. There are a few things that could use an upgrade in the home (just towels, bedding/pillows etc), but overall it was a cozy spot to reside for a 4 day ski trip, and it had everything we needed. The kids had a blast with everything in the basement. Ed was a true professional, very easy to communicate with and very accommodating. He texted me the day before our check-in day to let us know the house was ready and we could check in any time the following day, and did not have to wait until 4p which was wonderful!

Another great stay at True North

This was our third time staying at True North and it never disappoints. The house is lovely with plenty of room to spread out and spend time together. The new hot tub is a delightful addition. True North - Is One of Our Favorite Family Getaways

This was our second time staying at True North and we were not disappointed! The house is impeccably maintained, perfect location and the new hot tub was an added bonus and surprise. Our extended family ages 9 to 74 had a great time, plenty of space to be together or apart as needed, and kitchen has everything you need for family meals. We highly recommend this property, skiing was great. Thanks so much for hosting us again.

We had a wonderful stay at True North. Everything was spotlessly clean, which means a lot to me! The location is great for Sunday River skiing. I’d stay here again anytime! The owners were great to communicate with and we would rent this lovely home again without reservation!

Family Ski Trip

Couldn’t have had a better stay at True North. We came for a family ski trip with adults and children. The house was close to the mountain and offer everything we needed. The host was amazing and very responsive. Would come back for sure and highly recommend staying here if you have the opportunity. John
