Nestled between two serene ponds and a natural spring, this charming woodland cottage is the perfect getaway for up to four guests. Breathtaking views can be taken in from every window in this small home. While only ten minutes from downtown Rome, the tennis center and medical facilities, you'll feel as if you have escaped to a quieter, slower pace of living, yet still close to all the conveniences you might need - the best of both worlds!
As you pull into the private gravel driveway, you will pass the first pond and fountain. Arrive at the rear of the cottage and park, then walk the short path to the front of the home.

A few steps leads you onto the covered front porch with fans, rocking chairs, and a stunning view of the back pond and natural springs.

The Space
As you enter the front door, you'll find yourself in the main room of the cottage with 20 ft vaulted ceilings, comfy leather couches with big screen TV, a cozy electric fireplace to enjoy those crisp country evenings, full kitchen with bar seating, and everything you need for your getaway.

The master queen bedroom is on the first floor and boasts a full wall mural that brings the wooded scenery indoors. You have a big screen smart TV for your enjoyment and the same stunning view of the pond and surrounding woods. There is a big closet with ample storage.

Across the hall is a beautifully decorated bath with deep tub/shower combo with thick, luxurious towels and washer/dryer for your use.

The full kitchen is equipped with everything you need during your stay including a small fridge with ice, stove, sink, storage space, and kitchen supplies, utensils, spices and oils. You'll also find a coffee/tea bar with essentials to make that perfect cup of Joe.

Now let's head up to the loft. Climb the stairs and you'll enter the roomy loft with king bed and smart TV. From here you have a direct view of the first pond and fountain. Sit in the bean bag chair and enjoy a book and drink in the beauty and peaceful surroundings.

Outdoors
Be sure to take time to enjoy the outdoors while you are here! You have full access to the back pond for catch and release fishing (fishing gear available upon request), kayaking, or just enjoy the view in front of the fire or from the covered porch. Walk the path to the springs and enjoy a good book laying in the hammock and listen to the sounds of the spring and wildlife. If you're quiet in the morning hours, you may catch glimpses of our crane, turtles, deer and a lazy cat or two.

Cook out at the fire pit with griddle top and enjoy the sound of the fountain and running spring as the sun goes down.

While the back pond is yours to enjoy exclusively, note that the front pond is a shared space as there is a home on the other side of the first pond that has access to this space as well.

The property, while private and wooded, is located on a road that is frequently used during high traffic hours so you will hear traffic sounds at times.

The home is equipped with a smart lock. To enter press the pad screen, type in the 4 digit code (the last 4 digits of your cell number on file), then hit the checkmark to enter the home. To lock the door when leaving, simply press the checkmark when you leave.

Other things to note:

✔AGE: Minimum age of primary renter: 21. The primary renter must stay the entire time rented. We reserve the right to request a copy of your identification to verify your age.

✔ PETS: We do not allow pets of any kind at this property. Bringing a pet with you may result in the immediate cancelation of your booking and you will be asked to leave.

✔ OCCUPANCY: The occupancy limit for this property is 5 and any additional guest on the property may be vacated for trespassing. No unregistered guests are allowed unless prior arrangements are made. No parties or illegal activity is allowed on the premises. Locals must contact the host before booking. We reserve the right to require a signed contract after bookings are confirmed. Guests will have 24 hours to return the contract.

✔ NO SMOKING ALLOWED ANYWHERE INSIDE THE HOUSE. This includes e-cigs or anything that lets off smoke. A $250 fine will be charged to the credit card on file and a damage report will be submitted to Airbnb. Smoking is permitted outside as long as subs are discarded properly.

✔ CONTRACT: We reserve the right to request a signed contract after the reservation is confirmed. Guests will have 24 hours to return the contract in order to maintain the reservation.
