Due to a death in my family I had to cancel this trip on Monday, 6/23. Expedia reached out on my behalf to talk to Hampton and explain the situation. Hampton refused to cancel my reservation with a refund. Very disappointing. The request was 24hrs prior to check in, but still within their no refund policy. Is sad they felt the immediate payment for a room they can now rebook was more important that a sustained relationship with a frequent traveler. Other items I needed to cancel did so immediately, with refund and their condolences.
