Welcome to Black Bear Cabin, a charming barn-style retreat with wrap around decks! Nestled on 20 acres of breathtaking land, this cozy getaway invites you to explore towering 60ft rock walls, lush treed hills, and two sparkling creeks that converge at the heart of the property. Unwind on the decks, soak in the hot tub, or gather around the fire pit with plenty of seating for s’mores and storytelling under the stars.

Perfect for groups, the cabin comfortably sleeps 9. The airy loft offers space for 5 with two double beds and one twin bed. The main floor features a king bedroom for 2, while the walk-out basement includes a queen bedroom for 2. Each level boasts a full bathroom with a shower for your convenience.

The heart of the cabin is the two-story great room on the main floor, where plush seating and a large TV create a warm, inviting space to relax. Steps away, the well-equipped kitchen and dining area await, with a large table for 7 and 4 bar chairs at the peninsula. The chef in your group will adore the 4x3 window above the sink, offering stunning views of the woods or a glimpse of the kids playing on the deck.

Downstairs, the walk-out basement is a haven for fun, featuring a pool table, a cozy lounging area with a Smart TV, and a washer and dryer for added convenience. Step outside to the deck, where the hot tub and rocking chairs beckon, surrounded by wooded hills teeming with deer and natural beauty.

This was, by far, the best VRBO experience I've ever had. We have stayed in at least ten VRBO properties and this one tops the charts. Mechele was so kind and very easy to communicate with. We appreciated all the little touches this property provides, like plenty of cozy blankets!The cabin is stunning! The pictures do not do it justice. It is so cozy and welcoming. The space was absolutely perfect for our family. My kids and husband played pool every waking moment. We also loved the proximity to all the Hocking "hot spots," from hiking to restaurants to shopping. All of those things were about 15 to 20 minutes away, which was perfect for us to be in the secluded cabin surrounded by beautiful woods and then be only a short drive to whatever we wanted to do. This is a hidden gem and we can't wait to stay in this incredible cabin again soon.

The best cabin stay! The host was very friendly and prompt with answering message correspondences. The cabin had lots of space with many amenities, and was located in a quiet and peaceful area. The trails were amazing.They really got our hearts racing Lol! My young adults and teenage children truly enjoy this year's Christmas away from home. Will most definitely book again.

The cabin was incredible!! The beds were super comfy, the kitchen was beautiful, the bathrooms were so clean and provided a wonderful relief after our sweaty hiking trip!! The hosts were incredibly communicative and very easy to get ahold of! I appreciate how much time and effort was spent in taking care of our needs/questions, as well as the cleanliness and available amenities of the cabin itself. Looking forward to our next stay!!

Our hostess was fantastic with explaining the cabin, offered great suggestions for eating and entertainment, and responded very quickly.The cabin itself was cozy, clean, modern, and well stocked. This is a great place! One of my best VRBO trips. Thank you Black Bear!

Excellent in all respects with one exception. The 4 of us are in our mid-seventies. One with Parkinsons and one post ankle replacement. The outdoor stairs from the parking area were too challenging with no handrail or other support.

This property was very beautiful, clean and just what we needed. Kitchen had all utensils supplies, pots, pans crockpot, can opener that came in handy.. The beds were super comfortable. Our family got to enjoy the pool table and hot tub as well as a fire it was very relaxing & would stay again. The host was very friendly, nice and welcoming. Check in and out was simple and easy.The only recommendation I have was maybe a handrail for the steps leading down to the cabin as I was with some older family members and family that has a hard time with balance. Our stay was perfect 10 out of 10 would recommend and we had an amazing time.

Black Bear was very cozy and comfortable. It was just as pictured with whatever you might need. Be aware, there are steps down to the cabin with no handrail. The cabin is pretty centrally located for exploring the area, you’re within 15 minutes of most points of interest. We so appreciated sitting on the coveted porch listening to the much needed rain on the one day it rained. We enjoyed our trip to Black Bear cabin, it was a great choice for us.

We had the best time at Black Bear cabin! My kids enjoyed our time playing pool, sitting in the hot tub, and making s’mores around the fire pit! We were an easy 20 minutes from Old Man’s Cave at Hocking Hills—a definite don’t miss experience. After our hike, we ate out on the back deck enjoying the sounds of the roosters and we even spotted a few deer!! The house is beautiful, we found all the supplies we needed, and we were able to relax as a family—this is a special place!!

This place is absolutely beautiful. It’s usually hard for me to fall asleep when I’m not home, but this place was so cozy that I had no trouble. Secluded enough for privacy, neighbors close enough to not feel like a scary movie lol! I went for my bachelorette trip and it was perfect. Wish we stayed longer to enjoy the cabin more and do more things around Logan! Great location.

Sweet 16 Celebration Getaway

We enjoyed 2 amazing night in Black Bear to celebrate my daughter's sweet 16th! She brought 7 of her dance friends and they had the most wonderful, memorable weekend! Feeding 8 teenagers can be overwhelming, but the kitchen was full stocked with everything you might need! Mechele was an absolute joy to work with - very fast in her communication with us! We've stayed in many VRBO's throughout the years, but Black Bear was by far the cleanest and nicest accommodations we've experienced! We are hopeful to return with family in the near future!

Our family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Black Bear Cabin. It had a relaxing ambience and set up for comfort from the beds and furniture, the well equipped kitchen, ample towels and blankets, to the wrap around porch and the hot tub. It was meticulously clean! Even the wildlife seem to know this is a tranquil place-we viewed a baby deer about the grounds wait around for momma doe, which came to collect him towards dusk. Thanks, Mechele, for sharing your home with us!

Absolutely beautiful!! This place is paradise in the woods. Perfect location from Logan, and many different parts of the park for hiking. Our grill needed some TLC inside, which is the only reason for one less star on cleanliness but Mechele was extremely apologetic regarding the inside of the grill and worked quickly to get it fixed. I cannot recommend this cabin enough and my family will be returning without a doubt. We used all amenities they provided; pool table, hot tub, fire pit, grill, and hiking trails. We cooked meals there daily and they had everything we needed to do so. We also forgot our swimsuits. I asked to pay for them to be sent back and Mechele was a life saver, being willing to grab them up and send them via usps.
