Lake House on Rochester's Secret Sidewalk

Thank you for considering our home for your next vacation or event in Rochester, New York. Our beautiful home is located on Lake Ontario on Rochester's "Secret Sidewalk." The sidewalk which is in front of our home leads you on a short walk directly to Ontario Beach Park, the Port of Rochester Marina, the famous Abbott's Custard Ice Cream store, and some of Rochester's best restaurants! Our home features all the luxuries and amenities one could imagine and was completely remodeled in 2019. Enjoy the huge14' x 24' deck and private beach right on Lake Ontario to relax, watch the spectacular sunrises and sunsets, and access the lake to take a swim.
Our 1750 square foot home has 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths with an open floor plan and a two-car garage. There is a spectacular view of the lake from both floors. The kitchen is spacious with a full-sized refrigerator, gas stove and oven, microwave, and many small kitchen appliances. The kitchen is also fully equipped with dishes, cutlery, utensils, pots and pans, a toaster, and a coffee maker. The living room has a beautiful sectional for comfortable seating while reading, watching television, entertaining, or simply relaxing. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed with a deck that provides you with a fabulous view of the lake. The second bedroom has a full-sized bed and also has a full view of the lake. The third bedroom is very large and has a queen-sized bed and desk. All three bedrooms have ample closet and drawer space for your use. The first-floor laundry has a full-sized washer and dryer. Wi-Fi and cable television are also included.
Golfers can enjoy Lake Shore Country Club which is located exactly one mile from our home.

Our stay at the Lake House was fantastic! Communication with the property owner was super easy and he was very responsive and helpful. The home was clean and well maintained, it also had everything we needed! I would recommend staying here with no hesitation at all.

What a wonderful week on beautiful lake Ontario in a five star home. We enjoyed swimming, fishing, long walks on the secret sidewalk down to Ontario Beach Park. This home is has anything and everything you could need for a memorable vacation. We enjoyed the local restaurants but also loved cooking at home and relaxing with family. The deck, porch and balcony were our favorite spots to watch the ever changing lake, clouds and sky. Sunrise was very special. Historic Schooners arrived for Labor Day Weekend providing beautiful scenes including many sailboats joining them out on the lake. We can not say enough about a wonderful host who was easy to communicate with and was extremely helpful. Will remember the views and great times spent with family in a beautiful relaxing home on spectacular gem of Lake Ontario.Hope we can return to enjoy this special place on secret sidewalk again. Thank you for sharing your home . We had for such a great week.

The house is beautiful! Very well appointed kitchen, all the amenities you could want in a vacation rental. The views can’t be beat! Loved the proximity to the public beach, playground, splash pad, and Abbot’s - while remaining a very peaceful retreat. It was a great place to stay for our family with four young children, would definitely stay again!

Secret Sidewalk Lake House is an Authentic Gem

Johnny was extremely accommodating and helped make our family reunion wonderful.The house itself is beautiful both inside and outside; posted pictures were accurate.The house was equipped with everything we needed. Even the neighbors were kind and wonderful. If you have small children, Ontario State Beach Park has a beautiful playground and carousal that is just a short walk from the house. Our grandson loved it there.

Absolutely Perfect

Beautiful, modern house with everything you need!

Family ranging from 8 months to 80 years. Comfortable beds and furniture. Stunning views of the lake as you enter the home. Host provided many basic necessities like toilet paper, shampoo, and coffee. I’d suggest checking out the supplies in the home prior to shopping. Not only was the home excellent, but the sidewalk added an activity for us and everyone who visited to take a walk and enjoy the views and the other homes. Some of our group also walked to the public beach. The deck was large with lots of seating. There was a small sandy beach another level down from the deck. We have stayed in many rentals, and this was the only one that had so many supplies and items for our comfort available when we arrived. There was no list of items for us to complete as we checked out, also a first. Everyone who visited asked if we were going to rent this home again next year- overall an amazing visit!

Spectacular

100% we are going to stay here again next year if this property is available during my vacation time. My two young daughters loved the beach house and really had little interest in going out in town to do anything. Communication with the owner was easy and quick. The property is spacious and has everything you may need. For people with young members joining them, a playground is a quick 1/2 mile walk away, with a custard stand across the street. And an added bonus, the neighbors were all super friendly, with one neighbor giving my daughters bubbles to enjoy (which they absolutely did). I have stayed in several rental properties over the years and this was by far the best. Do yourself a favor and enjoy this place.

On the lake in wonderful house

Our group of 3 couples thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend in this house. The view of the lake is magnificent and the lake is literally right there. The house was super clean and well stocked without any clutter. It was a delightful time and I hope to return. No problems whatsoever.

Great location

The house is on a beautiful spot right on Lake Ontario. A comfortable family retreat with well equipped kitchen , comfy beds and clean. We enjoyed sitting on the porch. walks on the secret sidewalk, to the park and the pier and a few restaurants. Host is friendly and helpful.

Perfect September week on Lake Ontario

Johnny and his family provided us with a beautiful house and location. We were thrilled to have such a well-equipped kitchen to cook in and enjoy time with family and friends in the area. We were also very grateful for the welcome gift! This is a dream house and location. We cannot wait to visit again!

Beautiful Place

The neighborhood it quiet and friendly. The house is close to a ton of things to do. It was only 20 min to the Museum of Play, 15 min to Seabreeze. The park and beach are a few minutes walk. The kids loved building on the little beach by the deck and playing in the back yard. We had a very wonderful and relaxing time.

Best Vrbo

This was the nicest property we ever had the privilege of staying at. It was so nice that we didn’t want to leave. Of particular note was the view of the local gardens that line the “secret sidewalk” and, of course, the direct access to Lake Ontario. The home was extremely comfortable, fully stocked with amenities, and beautifully furnished. When we arrived, everything was spotlessly clean and the host, Johnny, even left a welcome gift! We would love to visit again!

Amazing views and location.

We absolutely loved our stay here. This was probably the best stocked rental home I've ever stayed in and i travel often. Bedrooms have an amazing view of the lake. Beds were very comfy and everything was so clean. The house was very cozy with a beautiful backyard and deck. We will definitely be coming back!

Wonderful Week

We loved staying at this home. Communication was prompt and always helpful. Check in was simple. The house was spotless and better than expected. It was the best-furnished home we have ever stayed in, including coffee, beach towels, beach chairs, foil, napkins, fully-stocked pantry and kitchen, and comfy beds, baths and furniture. House instructions were clear and complete. The home was beautiful, with direct lake access. We preferred to swim at home rather than the public beach, and found the water to be warm (72 degrees in July), clean, with only a few rocks, mostly sand. My favorite day was cooking a full three course meal in the kitchen, and then eating it on the table overlooking the lake. We did plenty of walking to ice cream, but also found minigolf and bowling a short ride away. S enjoyed playing golf on the nearby 9-hole course (18 holes there also). Hot tip: get up every morning for the sunrise. It's spectacular.
