Fontana Lake Cottage is a charming gray-blue lakefront cottage tucked into the forest along the shores of Fontana Lake in Robbinsville, North Carolina — deep in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains. It was made for the kind of trip you’ve been meaning to plan: the one where Mom and Dad finally get the grandkids for a long weekend, or where two couples who’ve been saying “we should get away together” actually do it, or where three generations gather around one table and nobody has to sleep on an air mattress.



The main cottage is warm and inviting, with an open-plan living and dining area anchored by a wood-burning fireplace that makes cool mountain evenings feel like a gift. Large windows flood the space with natural light and frame views of the surrounding forest. The sunroom — with its Adirondack chairs and French doors that open to the deck — becomes the spot everyone gravitates to, whether it’s for morning coffee, afternoon reading, or watching the kids play in the yard.

Boat Access: Guests bringing a boat should note that boats cannot be launched from the property. Boat launching and retrieval are available at Almond Boat Dock. Once launched, you are welcome to keep your boat at the property's dock throughout your stay.
