"We checked into the Grand Royal in York after a dismal experience at another hotel in York. The room, air conditioning, and staff were fabulous. The room was gorgeous, the staff could not have been more helpful, and we looked a mess after a bad experience at another hotel in York, but they treated us with respect and helped us to our room. The breakfast was fantastic, bar and restaurant and spa as well. This is the BEST hotel in York!"

The room was slightly on the small side with access to one of the twin beds a bit of a squeeze! But beds were comfortable.Check in was super quick and friendly. The breakfast area was modern and spacious and the breakfast choices were extensive and excellent.
