Beautiful self catering cottage on the majestic river Wye with mountain views, log burner and private balcony. Fully equipped kitchen with aga, super kingsize bed and bath with shower over. Private garden with seating area. Pets welcome. Walking distance to the Elan valley and the Red kite centre. Rhayader has a good number of pubs and restaurants within walking distance from the cottage.

Property was well equipped. Tastefully decorated we didn’t have opportunity to use all the facilities but wished we had longer. We were all 80 plus ! We loved the kites and Elan valley and will recommend this accommodation to friends and family . Thank you.

Absolutely stunning

An absolutely stunning area to stay in, lovely and peaceful and the property was very well kept! Nice and clean and the patio area was just to die for, just watch out for the midges! We only spent two nights in the cottage but will hopefully be returning for a longer stay next time. The hosts were friendly and had lots of helpful information in the welcome book. We went to the Gigrin Farm red kite feeding centre and also went across to the Elan Valley dams. Both were easily accessible from the cottage, with the red kite centre being about a 20 min walk and the Elan Valley visitor centre about a 7 minute drive so it’s a very convenient place to stay if you’re planning on visiting either of these attractions!

Christmas/birthday stay in Rhayader

A joint treat for my birthday and Christmas present for my husband. Rock cottage was everything we needed, ideal location with plenty of local amenities and places to eat. The cottage is immaculately clean and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. The balcony overlooking the river was lovely, unfortunately a little too chilly to sit out. Would definitely stay in Rock Cottage again.

Wonderful stay

Fabulous little cottage fully equipped with everything and very short distance to pubs shops and park area if you have dog, absolutely wonderful view from windows and garden balcony of the River Wye waterfall stunning, we also walked to Elan valley reservoir beautiful Walk even in November highly recommend staying here many thanks

Holiday for Charlie

Great stay ...dad time with son and Charies first holiday...two year old lakeland black & tan. He took us for a walk ..long walk, no stopping him. Good food wine and location the best, thanks Clare & Lee.

A rare find

The cottage was perfect in every way . It was very comfortable , well equipped and spotlessly clean . We loved being lulled to sleep at night with the sound of the cascading river . Amazing views and great local walks . We are already looking into a future stay .

Homely, welcoming, lovely view

Great stay, welcoming hosts. If staying for a few days you may need to ask for more firewood and bring some oil for cooking but if anything is needed the hosts will happily accommodate, we got a welcome text and useful amenity guide.
