This bright and beautiful newly built luxury apartment is centrally located, 10min walk from BSI Airport Bus terminal in downtown Reykjavik and 15 min walk from Reykjavik centre, Reykjavik Art Museum, National Gallery of Iceland and countless bars and restaurants. The idyllic Tjörnin lake, Reykjavik harbour, and the scenic foot and bicycle path that runs around the Reykjavik seaside are close by.

The apartment is situated on the 2nd floor in a stylish architect designed apartment block. It has an open plan kitchen and living room with floor to ceiling windows, 2 double bedrooms with black out blinds, new and modern appliances, including dishwasher, washing machine and a tumble dryer and two balconies: one south facing with view of Öskjuhlíð forest and the other facing the communal garden. The flat has one bathroom with a walk-in shower and two bedrooms. Perfect for two couples or a family with 1 or 2 children (4 people in total). Free wifi, Large TV, Free parking outside and a playground for children in the centre courtyard.

I highly recommend this rental. It was clean and well equipped. The kitchen has oil, vinegar, tea, spices, many dishes, cookware, small appliances (check high cupboards). There is a desk to do work at in the smaller bedroom. Plenty of free street parking. The primary bedroom mattress was a true American king size. Both mattresses were adequately firm and in good condition. Blinds blocked light great to sleep.

Super lovely and quiet place conveniently located near downtown Reykjavik. Inga, the host, was super helpful and very responsive. One of my favorite things was the towel warmer in the bathroom. Oh, and the beds were very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

We had a lovely time at Inga’s flat. It worked great for our family of 4. Inga went beyond expectations and was even able to source a portable crib for our toddler. The flat was a reasonable walk from downtown and even had a very convenient market just around the corner.

We had a wonderful stay. The apartment was very spacious and clean and had everything we needed. Location was great as well - we easily walked to downtown. Free street parking was never difficult to find. Our host provided lots of local info and clear instructions for everything in the apartment. Highly recommend!

Great Reykjavik Rental!

My family and I stayed here and loved our stay in Reykjavík. The location for the place is great, only two minutes drive to downtown Reykjavík. There is a corner Mart within a two minute walk from the apartment if you need anything like drinks or snacks. The apartment itself was very clean and well furnished with all the things that we needed for the time that we stayed there. The host was extremely responsive and stayed in contact during the time that I was there to make sure I didn't need anything and even offered a lot of recommendations for restaurants and spas. We absolutely will be coming back!

Perfect Location

Quiet property with parking and a short walk to city center. Flat was perfect, clean, and even a small grocery within a block. Easy access to main highways to explore Iceland. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a great flat in a great location.

We went for the Reykjavik half marathon and this place was a perfect location to allow us to walk to the event and have plenty of parking for our rental. Unit is nice and very quiet!!

Perfect base for an Iceland adventure

We stayed here for a week and we loved having such a cozy apartment to come back to after a day walking around Reykjavik or out driving and hiking the amazing scenery of Iceland. The apartment was perfect for a family of 3 to relax in, and so much better than staying in hotel rooms. It came with everything we could have needed to cook with so that we could be self-sufficient and not have to eat every meal out. The decor is modern and stylish with some lovely artwork. The location is just outside downtown Reykjavik in a new residential area which meant that it was quiet and street parking was easy (and free). Yet, it was close enough to the sights, shopping and entertainment via a 20 min walk, a 10 min scooter (download the Hopp app) or a 5 min drive. To save money we did our main shopping at a Bonus supermarket near the airport on our arrival, but we also appreciated having the local supermarket being very close by to provide little extras. There were already some essentials in the apartment when we arrived such as coffee, sugar, spices, detergents and soaps. So you shouldn't need to pick these up in advance. The other advice I would give if staying in the summer, is to bring a sleep mask. The blackout shades in the apartment work, but if you are a sensitive sleeper like me then the light that sneaks through at the sides is just enough to spoil a good night's sleep. Thanks to Inga for being a great host and being so responsive when we had questions.
