"In the first place be very careful with the booking, there are more than one 'city Garden hotels'. I thought I was getting one near the airport and ended up clear over by the American embassy in deepest downtown Manila. What I thought I was saving in room cost I'm more than spent in Taxi fees coming and going to the hotel. The hotel is located within an old and dated building with only one small elevator serving nine floors. The check-in process was friendly and helpful but the staff is not...

"This was our first night in the Philippines for our Honeymoon before heading to Clark International Airport for a flight to Coron. Based on reviews and photos, it wasn't 100% what we expected, but it worked fine for a quick one-night stopover. "Excellent location near the U.S. Embassy, making it very convenient for travelers. The staff were courteous, helpful, and attentive throughout our stay. Their outstanding service made our experience even more enjoyable. I will surely stay at this hotel again whenever I am in Manila."

"The air conditioning only works when you're in the room with your room key card inserted into a box on the wall. The room was around 90 degrees F when I went in and, if you leave and remove your card, the air turns off and you come back to a hot room again. I know this is common in the Philippines but that doesn't make it any easier on guests. It also shows that it's on a main street but it's in a back alley. Even the locals told me not to walk the alleys so I assume that means it's not safe....

"The area was nice and very accessible to the embassy and other agencies. The only problem was that the moment we entered the room, we were greeted by many cockroaches. The floor and walls had some cracks, and some parts of the floor were open to the other room, which I thought was where the cockroaches came from — they just crossed borders."

"Startede opholdet med at ikke kunne få låsen op til værelset og fik hjælp men ikke repareret og måtte kæmpe med låsen under hele opholdet. Værelset var ok og heller ikke mere. Senge var så hård at man lige så godt kunne lægge på gulvet. Lagen var så småt at gik op hele tiden og uden topmadras. Tror personalet havde rum tæt på for høj musik kl 6 om morgen og ingen vindue kunne åbnes og kunne heller ikke se ud. Og der er ingen elevator. Jeg har rejst meget men det her er det værste hotel jeg har...

"Our stay at the Ramada by Wyndham was for four days. Breakfast on the 16th floor was good and catered for all travellers. The hotel location was central, next to Chinatown and close to most must-see Manila attractions. The hotel shuttle service (leaving at 9 am and 11 am and return pickups in the afternoon) was on time and convenient, and took us to the Museum and Intramuros. "Room was kinda old. Stayed in loft. Took 4 hrs to cool room. In room food was decent. What really bothered me was manager rolled his eyes at me, when i asked a question."
