    A quiet, private studio apartment with private entrance and private fenced in area for dogs or friends. Located exactly between Duke/UNC with quick access to I-40. The unit has a king sized Posturepedic foam mattress, perfect for any back, Smart TV, Fast WiFi and Ethernet, stove, refrigerator, heat/AC with hot shower. The area is quiet by day and night. Commonly touched surfaces are disinfected (handles, remote, surfaces, knobs and switches). Dogs ok, cats with $250 refundable deposit.

    Ring doorbell is used outside the door of the unit.

Overall an adequate stay. I would not call it a romantic getaway but it was a private, semi-comfortable retreat in a nice area. I would recommend this for young people with pets. Room was dirty. Dead roach on the floor as we walked in. Food crumbs on the bed, hair on the bedsheets. Room looked much more worn out than the pictures. More of a flophouse type feel, not what you would expect from the pictures. Stairwell going up the the room very dirty with sawdust and some dead bugs.

If you’ve ever wondered what it feels like to live inside a converted treehouse designed by escape-room enthusiasts, this Vrbo is for you. The attic apartment above the garage had “cozy” energy, which is realtor code for “watch your head on every ceiling beam.” The shower pressure was so weak I’m pretty sure the water was arriving via eyedropper. I spent more time negotiating with the door locks than actually relaxing — every entry felt like cracking a safe in a heist movie. By day two, I considered leaving breadcrumbs just in case I couldn’t get back inside. That said, it was memorable, and I now possess the patience of a monk and the upper-body strength from trying to rinse shampoo out of my hair. One step above pitching a tent in a public park.

all we needed

this is a little over-the-garage efficiency apartment that had everything we needed for weekend activities in chapel hill! although it’s one room (+bathroom) it was large enough to not feel cramped. the neighborhood was quiet and easy to get to and overall it was exactly what we needed!

Mold in the bathroom, roaches, broken furniture, broken TV, broken AC, broken fence, broken gate, trip-hazard ditch leading to the unit, and after all of that, the host is now trying to hit us with an additional 25 cleaning fee (a WEEK later) - and we leave our rentals better than we find them, especially in this case.Skip this one - total slumlord. The 10/10 reviews are clearly fake.

The place was filthy. No sheets on the bed, stains and hair and grass on the mattress cover, towels were dirty, mold in the shower, and the tv was broken. I had to go to a hotel to shower and was still late to my event. The owner refused to refund me.
