Although the property is nicely restored, we experienced a myriad of problems during our stay. First, we were staying at the property as part of a two-week trip to the northeast, so we chose it over others because it listed “laundry” as one of the amenities. Little did we know that their idea of having a laundry amenity was the local laundromat in town. There also was no ironing board on the property, just an iron in a box in one corner of the bathroom. Next, we thoroughly read the owner’s handbook where it showed how to use the split a/c unit and change from a/c to heat. When we got there the remote controls for both units had “do not change modes” written on them. It turns out that the only heat available was a gas fireplace located in the living room and far from the bathrooms where you shower. The temps got down to 35 and the inside was chilly, as you might imagine. The manual also described where to take out the trash, but there was not a trash can in sight. There were numerous other small issues, but the last thing to mention was the only closet in the entire place was a small coat closet by the front door with 2 hangers. Neither bedroom had a place to hang anything up. The property management firm had a number where someone answered 24/7, but it wasn’t a local person and they had to call someone local. But even they didn’t know how to get heat or dispose of trash. It’s a shame—this property has so much potential but major issues.

It was wonderful! Our recommendation would be to have oven mitts (I needed to use a hand towel from the bathroom) and a teapot (we used just a regular pot). Otherwise, it was amazing!! An absolutely perfect place for us to stay for the weekend to get my daughter ready for school and moved into campus. Thank you!!

Excellent location and property

My husband and I stayed while visiting our college-aged daughter, and she loved the place so much that she also stayed with us. Very comfortable, central location, and everything about the checkin/checkout process was seamless! 10/10

Quaint Perfect Spot

We thought the property was really great but there could be a few tweaks to make it perfect. First off it felt like we were dealing with an AI with the texting feature for the property manager. I am used to dealing with host/owner directly and with this type of property I feel that would of been better. Also I had asked a few questions and the answers were not helpful. The other big issue was the mud. If I did not have an SUV we would of been stuck- in fact I did get stuck and it was really frustrating. It would be a simple solution to put gravel down and or send a note - "Hey its mud season in VT bring your boots"

Amazing Vermont views in renovated farmhouse

Great set up and lovely views from the front and back of this property. Clean and very well done barn renovation. Lots of space and loved to sit out on front porch. Our dog loved the wide open space to run and it was a short drive to everything the area has to offer.

Quechee weekend

Clean and comfortable place in a great location. We spent time in Quechee, Woodstock, and Hanover and all were in easy reach. The property is in a lovely location with beautiful views. Communication with the host was easy. I would definitely recommend!

Chic Farm Cottage

Such a cool place to stay in a wonderful location in Quechee. Even nicer than the pictures! Hosts are informative and helpful. Would definitely return.

Eclipse weekend

My husband and I plus our 3 yr old dog Rags spent a wonderful couple of days at the Carriage House. The location was perfect within easy reach of Woodstock and the house was beautifully decorated, warm comfortable and spacious. The owners left us a pair of eclipse glasses which was such a thoughtful touch. We hope to visit again soon!

Perfect location to explore the area with son and fiancée who are moving there. Beautiful and quiet within less than 30 mins or less to shopping and restaurants. Beautiful house with all the needed amenities for a quick weekend getaway.

The Upscale Winter Retreat

This beautifully renovated barn on a quiet farm exceeded our expectations ! All the household goods were top of the line. Snowy times in front of the cozy fire were much appreciated. Fabulous!

The place was gorgeous - the way it was set up and the views were perfect! Everything was clean and so comfortable. Highly recommend for a couples getaway or even a family getaway.
