"Lovely property well located in the centre of Tynemouth. Host is so helpful, comfortable rooms and beds and the breakfast is amazing."

"Great location, with loads of parking in the area and really close to the station (handy to get to Newcastle) and the seaside. The staff was helpful when we had an issue with the check in, and was always responsive to our requests. The room was alright, even though the bed wasn't exactly comfy, and the timed fan in the bathroom wasn't ideal at night. The best thing overall was the cafe, in which we went for all the three days. Hats off! The staff was amazing, and they could accommodate our...

"Room was exceptionally clean with a very comfortable bed. One of the double glazed window units was blown and required replacing and the ensuite was a little tired and needed upgrading. Breakfast was very good, as was the evening meal. Staff needed chasing up not keeping up replacing side plates, and keeping coffee pots full. Staff were quick to apologise and bring out replacements. We will almost certainly visit again, despite getting a few things wrong the staff were extremely friendly and...

"We stayed in the Premium room. Although it was huge with a roll top bath at one end (which we didn’t use) I felt it needed some updating. The black wood wardrobe, dressing tables, lights and cushions could be modernised and improve the look. The bed was huge with wooden headboard and footboard but every time one of us moved the whole bed shook like the boards were going to collapse. The shower was great. Some of the bathroom fittings were loose - toilet roll holder and sink taps - and the toilet...

"Great stay at the Metropolitan. Lovely room which had everything you'd need. Breakfast was of an excellent quality."

"A very quirky clean boutique hotel with fantastic sea view. I would highly recommend it"

"This is the 2nd time I’ve stayed here, can’t fault it at all, Rooms clean and cleaned every day, bar and food in pub and pizza place attached very good. I had duck tacos and sweet potato fries twice that’s how good they were. Pizza was also good and very filling. Plenty of car parking, all staff were lovely and helpful."

"Todo excelente "

"Best hotel in Newcastle, no contest. Would stay again!"

"Such a lovely overnight stay, we were in the area to attend an evening wedding reception. Very clean, great location & superb breakfast & Michael was so welcoming & helpful with the area & directions. Would recommend."

"First and foremost the property was clean, functional and offered value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful, although our experience of room service was let down by dirty cups being left. We found the hotel lacked character, everything about it was functional and not interesting. This extended to the breakfast, our experience of which was behind not eating supper there. This is not a criticism of the hotel, it is my view. Based on reviews I expected a little more than we got....

"The perfect Apartment/Hotel for a stay in Newcastle. It’s central, spacious , nice staff , quiet rooms"
