On the day of check in there was no front desk staff there to check anyone in. The 2nd shift person was a no-call, no-show, with about 10 people waiting to check in. No one knew what was going on. One person in back room had no idea how to check anyone in. Someone from Boston eventually had to come in to cover. We ended up leaving to go to dinner and had to check in hours later. There was no apology, nothing done for the inconvenience, nothing at all. Even the computer system was down when we were checked in but it had to be done manually. They said this had been a usual and ongoing thing with bare minimum staffing. The carpeted hallways were disgusting and looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in weeks or longer. The condition of the furniture in rooms was horrible and very old and run down, as was the same in the lobby and dining areas. In fact never did we see any housekeeping staff anywhere on site. Did not use the fitness center or pool area, but probably glad we didn't. No clocks in rooms, which we also found very discouraging. Free breakfast area options were little and not very good quality. Condition of dining area furniture was old, stained and disgusting. The whole place needs to be shut down, health department brought in, and completely renovated. They won't do it though, I'm sure, because of their great location next to the airport. Being under the Hilton name they should this is not what anyone should expect. Will never stay at this location again.
