"Lovely stay at the inn. Was a late booking to break up the journey but the staff were welcoming and the accomadation was perfect. The pub is obviously very popular but the accomadation is set back and there was no noise despite it being a busy Friday night"

"Made very welcome on our arrival. Room was clean and tidy, and dinner was delicious - all credit to the chef and kitchen staff who had to tackle all the orders for the night in one go following a village wide power cut. Breakfast was very tasty and set us perfectly for the walking ahead of us. The only criticism is that the shower was very hit and miss - either scalding or freezing!"

"Comfortable stay with the necessary amenities. I would recommend to people as was just what I needed and bonus that it is dog friendly for when I stay again and bring the dog. Clean, welcoming and lovely breakfast in the morning. "

"I read the reviews after booking and to be honest I was not expecting much, but it was lovely. Room spacious and clean, bathroom clean and well stocked. Lots of tea and coffee in room, along with biscuits. Are in the hotel, excellent hot food!!"

"What a lovely gem of a place which was so welcoming and provided simply the best breakfast you could wish for. What with their own chicken eggs, sausages and fresh home baked bread, you can't go wrong! Janet is a lovely lady who likes to make you feel very welcome. I will be re visiting for sure"

"The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The building is beautiful and attractive. I last stayed there in 1976 and it has changed a lot. The rooms are now all en-suite, which wasn't the case 49 years ago. The room in which I stayed was fantastically quiet and the bathroom was beautiful! "Loved staying here, such a nice vibe and such friendly staff. I felt like I was staying with family. Room was immaculate and I really liked the décor, felt so cosy. "My second stay at this hotel which pretty much mirrored the previous stay with a few more positives. I found a perfect parking spot just near the entrance and didn't want to give it up so I dined at the sports bar which was a wise decision as the food provided was top notch. My room was on the 2nd floor just around the corner from the leisure facilities which I took full advantage of using both the cardio equipment and weights.
