"I cannot speak highly enough of this Hotel. Our stay was enhanced by the ambience, the welcome we received and the service was exceptional. "Whilst the staff and facilities were good, I was disappointed with the food. I had the coronation chicken terrine starter.which had a large piece of chicken skin in it. The staff offered me a replacement which I declined and they did not charmed for it. I later asked if I could have fresh fruit for dessert which the said would be available for breakfast. At breakfast the only fresh fruit available was watermelon. I may be picky but I feel that these minor items should be catered for."

"Beautiful room and en-suite in a lodge with four others, tucked away at the back of the garden. Very comfortable. Especially appreciated two armchairs, decent size fridge and small outside area with table and chairs. Evening meal in the pub was also excellent. Lovely beer garden and attentive hosts. We didn't have breakfast as making an early start but ordered a packed lunch which was very handy."

Unfortunately, the welcome and interaction from the manager on duty when we arrived after a wedding nearby wasn’t the greatest. We had checked prior about check in times and were told it was 24 hours, so wasn’t expecting the resistance we got when we arrived. We told the manager on duty we were guests and needed to check in - he seemed rather confused and defensive about...

The primary reason I chose this hotel over others in town was the spa, and I was quite disappointed to find that it was inaccessible to hotel guests. It proved very difficult to book either online or in person throughout my entire visit. Given that the location is a bit further out from the city center, the inability to use the spa facilities significantly impacted the value of my stay. I hope the hotel...

"An awful hotel, that in my opinion was hazourdous to health. Room smelt of damp, tiles falling off bathroom wall, mould on window cills, dirt on skirting board, bathroom light, tv both not working, veneer peeling off furniture. "

"There were build works outside by terrace overlooking lake with cement mixer and angle grinder cutting stone most of the day the Saturday I was there . Not the best idea with patrons sitting there by temporary plastic tape eating and drinking . Perhaps a fencing of sorts to obscure the works ?"
