Enjoy beautiful mountain and wildlife views from the comfort of your own cozy home - situated in Yavapai Hills Community, this recently updated 2 bed/2 bath abode also boasts a picturesque deck with fire pit & BBQ; perfect for unwinding after day tripping to nearby Lynx Lake or exploring Prescott's many attractions. Whether it be shopping at the Gateway mall, stocking up on bulk items from Costco (a short 5 min drive away), treating yourself to dinner out at one of countless eateries in town--this central location has something for everyone!

Note: There are steps to reach the property’s front door

Living Space: This spacious, inviting, home features a split floor plan, soft couches, and a Large HDTV in the living room that you can log into your streaming services to watch your favorite shows. The kitchen opens up to the living and dining room area with large sliding doors that open up to the back deck that merges the outdoors with inside creating the perfect gathering area for friends and family! WiFi is provided for your convenience! The home is stocked with board games, puzzles, and cards to enjoy hours of entertainment while you create memories that will last a lifetime. The home comes with Mini Split Air Conditioning and Heat for your comfort.

Note: The fireplace is decorative

Kitchen: The home has a fully stocked kitchen, complete with an oven, range, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, and coffee maker! It has plenty of pots/pans, BBQ utensils, and stocked with your basic spices and oils.

Master Bedroom: The spacious master bedroom, located on the main floor, highlights a plush King-sized bed. This room features an ensuite bathroom, a closet area, and a large walk-in shower.

Second Bedroom: This bedroom is located on the main floor and features Two full-size Beds

Additional sleeping: There is a pull-out Double size bed in the couch that can be used as well

Bathrooms: This home has private bathrooms located on the main floor that is attached to the Master Suite, as well as a bathroom attached to the second bedroom for guests to use. Linens are provided for all sleeping spaces, as well as bath towels and washcloths for each guest. A hair dryer, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner are also provided for your convenience.

Propane Grill: There is a propane grill on the deck for your use.

Washer/Dryer: The home has a fully functional washer and dryer for your convenience. Laundry pods are provided.

The property is meticulously maintained, and the interior is professionally cleaned and checked before each guest.

**NOTE: Smoke Detectors, Carbon Monoxide Detectors and Fire Extinguisher are stationed throughout the home for your safety

Guests will have access to the entire property minus the locked garage.

While the exterior porch and furniture is cleaned after each stay, during certain times of the year you may experience more debris from weather, native plants, and pollen. In the event the outdoor space is not sufficiently clean to your liking we provide a broom and basic cleaning supplies that can be used at your convenience!

Please do not exceed the occupancy of 6 guests staying the night. Please, no pets (not even just to visit) unless it's authorized by the host. No large parties, or smoking in the property. Additional fines for each violation will be charged to the guest who booked and you will forfeit the remainder of your stay with no refund if violated.

If it is available, early check-in is a charge of $25/each additional hour (beyond the first hour). To ensure the property is ready for incoming guests, late check-outs may be available if the calendar allows. Thank you for understanding.

We do accept alterations requests but ask that they be made at least 14 days prior to the start of your original reservation date. Acceptance of the alteration request is at the host's discretion.

BEFORE BOOKING: please note that if your reservation requires additional guest fees and/or pet fees, these fees will NOT be shown at time of booking. These fees will be added AFTER you have booked and you have paid the amount due at that time. It's the guest's responsibility to let us know within 48 hours of booking if there are any pets, service animals or additional guests that weren't originally listed at the time of booking. Changes made to the reservation after 48 hours of time of booking are subject to a $35 change of reservation fee in addition to the pet fee and/or additional guest fee. Once a property manager has reviewed your reservation, these fees will be manually added.

A very bright home with great views. The open concept made it seem huge. The only negative for us was there were so many stairs from the driveway to the entrance it was difficult for us.

The property was beautiful, and the interior of the property was exquisite. It was the perfect size for our party and the outdoor balcony was beautiful at night, especially with the lights. The only downfall was having to go up and down the stairs constantly. otherwise loved it.

We had a wonderful stay at Hillside Hideaway! Check-in was easy and the open floorplan made the home feel welcoming and well-organized. The home was clean and was located in a quiet neighborhood.The location was good, with plenty of restaurants nearby and even a Costco for added convenience. The beds were firm and comfortable, and the home included many thoughtful amenities that made us feel right at home.One thing to note is the climb up several steps to enjoy the fantastic views this home offers. The home has a nice deck as well. We would recommend Hillside Hideaway to anyone visiting Prescott or Prescott Valley.

We are very frequent users of short term stay residences across the USA as well as overseas. We are very highly rated by owners. This was our first truly terrible experience. It was a Christmas stay and there were no hotel rooms we could escape to, so we made the best of a bad situation. The owners absolutely need to be honest and forthcoming in their ads that this residence has THREE STORIES OF STEPS! of rugged, uneven, winding, tilting outdoor stairs WITHOUT HAND RAILS, just to access the house. 5 of 12 dim solar lanterns were out making g the property very treacherous at night. I had to be assisted up and ended up crawling up half of the stairs. I travel often in Italy where there are stairs galore. My husband is mobile but wears braces on his legs. He had to carry luggage, food, Christmas dinner, presents up all those stairs, which sapped our energy and robbed us of a relaxed joyful holiday. I went up those stairs once and down once. I was trapped inside the entire stay. Inside. This was the dirtiest short term rental I have ever been in! The couch was filthy and Beyond belief. We took photos. The rug under the dining table was stinky and utter filth. Upon searching for an outlet, my husband took photos of what he saw- There was filth piling up under the king bed and behind it. THERE IS LONG TERM ACCUMULATION OF DIRT AND STAINS. This is not something you can blame on a maid. The fridge was clean but the kitchen floor needed scrubbing. The trash can outside was

Just spent a wonderful week at Hillside Hideaway. It is a very nice house with everything you need in a quiet scenic neighborhood with a great view from the deck. The location couldn't be better for staying in the Prescott area, great access to downtown the national forest, lakes, parks and hiking trails. Would stay there again.

We booked this stay after our flight to Michigan was cancelled due to the Microsoft crash of 7/10/24’ We arrived on Sunday afternoon after driving through a Haboob, a thunderstorm and a wet walk to the VRBO. We were aware that there were steps to the entry. We were not advised that there were 33 steps (some landings included) and NO RAILING! We can handle steps but we could not have anticipated that there would be no railings. My husband fell causing multiple contusions and abrasions to his head and face, multiple skin tears on both arms after falling forward into lava rock. After getting him into the house and treating his wounds, it was time to start washing towels covered in blood. We considered going to the ER, but decided it was safer to stay in the house and wait out the storm. In the morning, I used a floor cleaning device with a microfiber cloth side to get down to the car and bring up needed items. A call to Walmart to obtain bandages and food was placed. Thank God for Walmart delivery! We had no food with us (we fortunately travel with basic first aid). I set a text message to our host, TJ, who just said “Oh, my. What happened.” I sent him an email on Monday saying what had happened. I ended the email with the “minimal” appropriate need we would have would be someone to help us down the steps when we checked out on Thursday. He agreed to this. I subsequently emailed him on Wednesday to make sure arrangements were in order and got the SO MUCH MORE TO SAY!

The views are spectacular and the host TJ responded immediately with a couple of concerns we had. There are 34 stairs to climb every time you go in and out, that was a problem for my wife. The good thing about the stairs is that they do not go straight up, they are double wide and serpentine there way up to the house. So, if your healthy with no leg issues, this place is a great place to stay.

My wife and I visit somewhere in the desert southwest almost every year (sometimes twice a year). While we’ve made day trips into Prescott in the past, this is the first time that we have stayed for a few days. We wanted to have a couple days to hike the local trails (Watson Lake and Willow Lake) and return to our favorite restaurants (El Gato Azul and Lazy G Brewhouse). All we needed was a place to stay. This house was just what we were looking for. Convenient location to the hiking trails and the dining options (15 minutes to each, give or take). Check-in and check-out were a breeze. The house was just as advertised. It is very clean. It is open and bright. There are great views. The outdoor areas are fantastic. There is plenty of space (just my wife and me staying, so we used the second bedroom to store our gear/luggage, which really worked out nicely). The house had everything we needed. Pay attention to the note stating “there are steps to reach the property’s front door” as this is a good climb up from the driveway; just be prepared that you will have to carry your stuff up and back down. This made for a good daily warmup before hitting the hiking trails! The house is in a quiet neighborhood and being up on the hillside provides more seclusion and a better view of the mountains. We spent each evening out on the deck, enjoying a beer, listening to the birds and enjoying the quiet. We had a great stay and would definitely rent this property again.

Celebrated Christmas with the family in Prescott, this was a great home to invite our local relatives to for our holiday meals. The location was perfect, great views, very clean and well maintained. Contacted the property management to see if we could check in an hour early but did not hear back. We had a bit of trouble with the lock on arrival, but the management team was able to allow access immediately. The house is up on a hill with great views, of course this means lots of steps to get to the house. Totally worth it!

The Host, "T.J.", was very easy to work with and had everything extremely well organized. It's a nice older home that has been completely updated, everything worked, it's located in a nice, older established neighborhood. It's very quiet, private and easy to enjoy oneself.

The place was wonderful. There are quite a few steps to get up to the door. We didn't mind it. There is a beautiful view from the deck. They allowed our two dogs which was a big plus for us. Everything was clean. They supplied coffee and dishes. We were able to prepare our meals and bake cookies. There was plenty of cleaners, wipes, paper towels and a vacuum to be able to clean up after ourselves. Loved the hotel like towels and better than hotel bedding.
