"If you're visiting Duxford Imperial War Museum, or Cambridge, you won't find a better place to stay. Cambridge and the Duxford Airfield and Museum are only 30 minutes away, with very light traffic most of the time. The motel-like accommodation is great, clean and modern with everything you need. The staff are very affable, and the food is simple but very good. And of course there's a well-stocked bar. The prices are very keen, and there is a large car park. What more could you want?"

"Relaxed dining in the bar, plus option to eat in the more formal dining room. Good outside table area. Great relaxing lounge with comfortable chairs and attentive staff. This an older character building with some very interesting features, but is reasonably well maintained. Have now stayed here four times and will definitely be returning."

"Hotel ideally situated just off the A12. But there is no road noise that disturbed our sleep. Room was nice and clean well stocked with tea and coffee, soap, shampoo, hairdryer and iron. "Room carpet was dirty. Bathroom smelled like pee and it looked gross, too, plus door knobs were degraded. There was no DND sign for the door. Breakfast was nothing to write home about, and awful for people with dietary restrictions. They made me scrambled eggs without milk as requested, but it was inedible due to being undercooked. Who likes stringy (like snot) egg whites in scrambled eggs? Emailed for support, didn't reply. Tried talking to them, they didn't care."

"The rooms. at the Essex Golf and Country Club are very nice and super clean. Be aware there is no in-room ac that we could find and just the smallest desk fan in the room but perhaps this is only an issue for 3 weeks a year! We arrived late (9.30pm) and check was smooth, went to the room and unpacked and notice in the room directory suggested the bar was open until 10.30pm. We meander up only to be informed that last orders was at 10pm so we would only be permitted to purchase one drink. Then...
