Villa Natura - with garden in S. Miguel Island (Azores)

Rustic and traditional country house, with a private garden and little orchard, very pleasant and great for relaxing among nature and with views for mountains. Located in the beautiful and touristic small town of Furnas, it is very well located, close to Boilers, Terra Nostra Garden and other attractions.
The house is spacious and has capacity for 6 guests. The price is fixed for up to 2 guests, plus a fee of €35 for each extra guest (please see table). It is excellent accommodation for families with children or groups of friends.

Accommodation features:
Exterior: barbecue, porch, garden furniture, fire pit, gazebo, parking for 2 cars, orchard and garden (1000 m2) with lawns, plants and flowers. Laundry room (washing machine and tumble dryer, iron and table ironing).

Inside: 2 double bedrooms (one with the possibility of installing a cot), 1 bedroom with two single beds, plus 2 double beds (all with sheets and blankets). Two bathrooms with showers, hairdryers and towels. A complete kitchen with pantry, with fridge, stove and oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machines, electric kettle, pans, crockery, blender, toaster. Living room with TV, Internet/Wifi, air conditioning. Complete dinning room.

The surroundings:
Furnas is a tourist parish, very picturesque, safe and peaceful, but equipped with essential establishments such as supermarkets, bakeries, butchers, fruit shops, restaurants, cafes, bars, pharmacy, bank (ATM), rent a car, among others. Villa Natura is close to shopping establishments, the church and fabulous parks and gardens, as well as the boilers, allowing you to travel on foot.

Activities and attractions:
Furnas is one of the most emblematic touristic and vacation spots on São Miguel island in the Azores — an archipelago considered the best green and adventure destination in Europe. The island of S. Miguel is considered by Forbes Magazine as the best island in the world! It is a paradisiacal parish, surrounded by mountains and very close to Praia do Fogo (beach with blue flag), in the coastal parish of Ribeira Quente (6 km). Within the town there are fabulous gardens and parks, the well-known boilers, hot water pools, hot springs and several restaurants serving the famous boiler stew. Near the parish there is a golf course (5 km) and a beautiful lagoon with numerous attractions (3 km). From Furnas you can take a wide variety of walks, hiking trails and observe unforgettable landscapes. Excellent for a relaxing and leisure holiday in contact with nature (countryside and sea).

We loved our stay at Villa Natura. The home was clean, well-equipped, and had a great location. The outside yard and patio was perfect. We had everything we needed to enjoy our vacation. The hosts were so welcoming and responsive.

The host and welcome gift were exceptional! The home was a nice, traditional family home and had a beautiful yard and was a short walk to everything in Furnas. We were there in March, and it was very cold and windy the day we arrived. We were able to move some space heaters around to get things warm. The space was larger than we needed for my two kids and I, and it would be perfect for smaller group like us or larger family. Thanks for a great stay!

Host was very gracious, welcoming, quite responsive, and available. The grounds are beautiful and the unit is a short walk from shops, restaurants, and parks. A slight drawback was uneven heating in different areas though overall it was quite comfortable.

I booked Villa Natura for our family of 4 adults and 3 children for a week in July 2024. It couldnt have been better. The location was perfect, within walking distance to the caldeiras, spa, shopping, restaurants and bars. The yard is beautifully maintained and the house is well stocked. Susana was always available to answer questions, and checked in to make sure everything was good.

Hosts are so wonderful and kind. They really went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They gave us a hand guided, face to face tour and explanation of the property. We even got a welcome basket which was amazing. Our fav part was the garden and outdoor dining area. We spent much needed family time cooking and relaxing at this house. Would absolutely stay again.

This property was perfect. It is even more beautiful than the photos depict. The grounds are wonderful for relaxing after days out exploring. The awning over the patio table provides perfect protection from any passing rain. The laundry facilities were very handy. The interior of the house had everything we could possibly need and Susanna gave us a great tour of the property when we arrived along with a very thoughtful gift basket. She also checked in by text during our stay.The beds were comfortable and washrooms large enough for our group. We loved staying in Furnas.The village was so pretty and the Villa's locatiom was perfect walking distance to shops. Would 10000% recommend.

The property is located in a fabulous area on Sao Miguel and has a beautiful garden and outdoor space to relax and enjoy the views of Furnas. It had all the conveniences of home which made it easy for me and my family to feel comfortable. The location was a quick walk to the Caldeiras, many restaurants, and natural hot springs. Wow what an amazing place. Wonderful hosts that made us feel so welcome and a really authentic beautiful home surrounded by a beautiful garden and views of the surrounding mountains. We were so happy to have found this place to stay! Our 3 and 5 year old also loved it.

Over the years we have rented numerous vacation properties in Europe and the US but Villa Natura ranks with the best. The hosts are very helpful and friendly; the property is top notch. Lovely garden; plenty of room for four adults; comfortable beds; well-equiped kitchen; good showers and heat/AC; and spotlessly clean. Furnas proved to be a good location for walking around, basic shopping; and sight seeing. Especially notable are the Terra Nostra Gardens and hot springs and for dining, the Terra Nostra Hotel restaurant. For island sites we liked Villa Franco De Campo; Ribeira Quinte; Ribeira Grande; the Tea Plantation; and Mosterios and everywhere, the lush and beautiful scenery.

My 2nd time here. A lot of upgrades on the property in the last 4 years, new overhead awning, new outdoor furniture, new fire-pit, installed a clothing dryer. Property is amazing, clean and organized. Owners are always friendly and accommodating. I cannot wait to come back!

Perfectly located in Furnas. The house is spotless with every amenity for a wonderful stay. Near restaurants, groceries, caldeiras. A short walk or drive to visit Sao Miguel. La communication avec Susana a été très facile et nous la remercions pour son gentil accueil. La maison est très propre et très bien équipée (machine à café, bouilloire…) et tout le nécessaire est à disposition (sel, sac poubelle, savons, produits de vaisselle) Très bonne literie. La maison est idéalement située tout près des caldeiras (on voit même les fumeroles depuis le jardin) et du centre, on peut tout faire à pied. Séjour très agréable, nous avons été ravis!

Wir sind absolut begeistert vom Haus! Wir verreisten als 6-er Gruppe um die Insel zu erkundigen und zu Angeln. Die Villa Natura ist super gelegen und bietet genug Platz für alle Bedürfnisse. Susan und Rui sind super nette Vermieter und bieten jede Hilfe an. Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet und bietet ein schönes Intrieur. Im Grossen und Ganzen war alles perfekt. Nur zu empfehelen und gerne wieder!
