Cozy Beach Retreat-Hood Canal & Olympic Mountain Views

Historically a waterfront restaurant & later a dock caretaker's home, this newly remodeled cottage awaits your arrival. Besides Hood Canal and Olympic Mountain views, you may see dolphins, seals, Great Blue Heron's and Bald Eagles from the comfort of this beach getaway. Bring kayaks or stand-up paddle boards and launch from a beach just steps away.
A well appointed kitchen is a a must, and we've tried to check that box. If crabbing season is open, and you get lucky, there's no better seafood to enjoy right there.

Salsbury Point County Park—fish from the dock…just north of Hood Canal Bridge (take life jacket…there may be a tidal current)

Hiking-see www.Alltrails.com and allow it to recognize your location or choose Poulsbo, Kingston, Hansville, or Silverdale for locations. The Olympic National Park has amazing hiking—Marmot Pass or Mt Townsend for more energetic hikers, Lower Lena Lake slightly easier…drive an hour 45 min for Hurricane Ridge hiking outside of Port Angles for crazy beautiful views & hiking.

This is out third time renting this property. We love it here, it is our home away from home. The house is very cozy and always clean. The kitchen has everything needed to cook. The views are amazing. Karol is a great host and replies quickly to any questions we have. We will be back!

There aren't enough good things to say about this lovely place. I found the beauty of nature and the ocean so calming. I was impressed with Karl's quick responses and interest in my stay being as good as it could be. I will definitely visit again.

My wife and I stayed for three nights in early June. The cottage was spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished with everything we needed. Expansive views of the Olympic range were enjoyed, sea otters fed on the changing tide. We always cook our meals so finding a very well equipped kitchen was great. There was more than enough room for the two of us but the cottage could comfortably acommodate four.

We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and the scenery of the water. I do experience slight limiting mobility and the house was perfect as just 2 small steps to enter house also walk in shower. This really is a wonderful place.

Wonderful views of Hood Canal from this cozy historic property. Easy access to amenities & the wedding venue. Loved watching the seals every night, they are surprisingly noisy! Host provides everything you need for a relaxing vacation.

We chose this place because it was a good jump-off location for the things we wanted to do in North Kitsap and Jefferson County. Modest and clean, the kitchen is well-appointed with utensils and appliances, with laundry onsite. All on one level. For the mobility-challenged, there are only 3-4 steps to climb to enter the house. The deck out back is easily accessible. Nice place to kick back and do a little bird and Canal watching. Restful. Thanks Karl!

My wife and I drove from Oklahoma to visit our daughter and grandkids for the holiday. The property had everything we needed and then some. The communication was stellar and very helpful. We will certainly stay here again on our next trip out.

Everything was great at this property. I didn't realize it was right on the water in a little community. Perfect, I took my paddle board and launched off the beach. Magically quiet and dark.

We were in town for a quick anniversary celebration, this property was perfect. Right on the water and very comfortable. It’s such a cute little cottage. The host was very accommodating and easy to work with. Checkin was a breeze. We loved the ripe blackberries right in the back yard and waking up to the sound of waves was amazing. It looked like the property was recently renovated, new linens, fresh paint, very comfortable beds. It was well equipped with everything we needed (except an iron but we managed without that). Overall this is a 5 star stay and we will be staying again!
