Park Cottage - A very private and scenic holiday home.

Park Cottage is a traditional Skye crofthouse built in the 1890s and was completely renovated throughout in 2017. Graded 4 star by VisitScotland, STL licence HI-30039-F and a 'C' Energy Performance Rating (EPC), it sits at the end of the Park Bernisdale crofting township, 9 miles from Portree in a very private, peaceful and beautiful location with absolutely no passing traffic whatsoever. The open plan sitting/dining room is furnished in a very homely style including a log burner with some logs provided. The downstairs bedroom has a king size bed with an en-suite, including a big shower. There is a second shower room downstairs and 2 bedrooms upstairs (a single and a double) that have coombed ceilings to the sides and are well appointed but much smaller. The well equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher and a washing machine with tabs for both included. Along with many other items including washing up liquid, dish towels, etc, etc. Park Cottage is in a great location for visiting north and central Skye with a minimum stay of 3 nights and arrival can be on any day of the week. It can accommodate a maximum of 4 people comfortably (including children of 8 and over).
Park Cottage has an EV charger exclusively for guest use. Charged separately at 35p/unit (Kwh). More detail sent nearer time of stay or on request anytime.
Sorry but I do not allow pets.

Beautiful location! What a view! Quiet and away from the crowds. Grocery store was near by and convenient. Newly renovated. Comfortable. Loved the small wood stove for fires. Very cozy. Kitchen is superb with everything you need provided.

This cottage is beautiful, and is in such a peaceful setting…just what we needed after a month in the cities. It was actually bigger than the photos made it out to be. The views were amazing, beds comfortable, and the kitchen was great. It was easy access to Portree, and centrally located to go do all the things on Skye, especially on the Trotternish Peninsula. We wish we could have stayed here longer. The extremely short walk to the hill above provide breathtaking views (wear hiking boots though).The host was easy to communicate with and responsive. 5 stars all the way around.

Just perfect

A friend and I wanted to "get away from it all" stayed at this property, and it COMPLETELY delivered. Our neighbours were birds and adorable ewes and lambs, but there are a few other homes in easy walking distance. Amazing view over the Snizort. House was perfection - large shower, comfortable beds, easy to use appliances that worked perfectly. Great, easy to use fire with wood and kindling supplied. Easy drive to attractions such as Dunvegan Castle and Fairy Glen. Lovely outside bit with a picnic table was perfect for leisurely coffee mornings. I can't recommend Park Cottage enough, I am trying to figure out when next to come back! Thanks so much for a great stay!

Great location

This property was located perfectly for everything we wanted to do. It was central so we could get easy access to portrait, but it still allowed us to go all directions in the aisle of sky. It was very quiet and very much country setting but still within 10 minutes of town.

Park cottage is absolutely stunning. It is the most amazing cottage the views are stunning and the cottage itself has amazing amenities. There is a small fire place in the living room and the kitchen is beautiful

Perfect place to stay

We (4 adults) had great days in this spacious cozy house! Everything required was there and in perfect shape and clean. We loved to sit at the fireplace in the evenings! Everything on Skye is easy to reach by car, but also public transport is available several times a day. And the owner was so friendly and helpful!

Just fabulous!

We loved everything about this croft. The location, away from the hustle and bustle was what we wanted, yet only 10 minutes to Portree. We had a fire every night, and saw all the sites we wanted each day. It was a perfect 4 nights. The home was clean, comfortable and lovely. Thank you for sharing with us!

Gorgeous, Quiet house

Great place. Quiet with wonderful views but about 20-30 minutes from Portree for groceries and dinner. Place is well set up with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Parking was included. We enjoyed watching the sheep and water each day. We had car trouble and the owners were willing to work with us, give us advice and a little slack while we got the car checked out the next day. Overall, all four of us would gladly go back.

Great stay!

We had an amazing stay at Park Cottage! The cottage had everything we needed and was comfortable and clean. We were also very happy with the charging point for our Tesla. This made our stay so much easier. We were most impressed with the amazing view from the hill in the backyard. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and the beautiful nature of Skye. Also enjoyed diner in Portree. We only had a not so friendly relationship with the midges 😅. Would love to come back some time!

Beautiful stay

A beautiful location to relax and explore from. Part of the family was able to hike nearby attractions while others enjoyed the views and walks around the cottage. The cottage was very well appointed and beautifully renovated to allow for modern conveniences while keeping its charm. The owner was very responsive when asked about local recommendations. We would love to return if only it was sooooo far from Virginia.
