Located in Port Isabel, you will have easy access to the Laguna Madre Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. When you are not spending your days fishing on the canal, take a short drive to the Schlitterbahn Waterpark or the Port Isabel Historical Museum. And discover South Padre Island only a couple of miles away with its many local restaurants and souvenir shops.

This was an amazing place for my kids and I to get away. We were all catching fish and the view from the deck allows you to see both of the launch towers at Starbase!

We enjoyed our stay at this cute rental. Close to walmart, starbucks and Osprey boat tour. Fishing off the dock was a plus. Communication was spot on. Clean and looking forward to our next stay.

Huge master bedroom upstairs on 3rd floor. Kids loved the bunks on the 1st floor. Living area is on the 2nd floor. Every floor had a door to go outside and see the water.

After a pretty complicated beginning it got better. I appreciate the management taking care of the situation as promptly as possible other than getting a curtain the day before departure. It was nice to be on the water. My husband likes to fish, so being a a fishing pier was convenient. I wasn’t aware there were two sets of stairs but we managed to navigate through.

This condo was clean and a good location but could use some attention. I would say it is more for a group of guys fishing but the boat slip/outdoors is lacking. It is a huge slip but has no cleats for tie down. So bring ample rope. Our ropes were not long enough on our bay boat. Also there are no outside lights to see or fish. We could not find any electrical outlets on the dock that worked also. There is a huge 20x30 deck with great views that would be amazing if there were more than 2 chairs.

Pictures are deceiving. The room with a couch and tiny bed has no privacy- it’s completely open to anyone coming and going from the home. Pictures made it seem that the dock had a railing, for safety reasons, but the porch was on the 2nd floor patio. Towels smelled like eggs, sheets and pillows smelt musty and old. There were hairs on the sheets, dead cockroach in the washer, very limited kitchen equipment— no pot holders, 1 knife to cut food, no foil to keep baking sheets clean, master bath shower curtain was completely backwards and gross, fish scales all over the dock- getting tracked in the house, garbage can was completely full outside, and parking instructions were very confusing once you arrived— street parking is a block away, making it hard to unload for a 4 day, 3 night stay. Will not return.

Hade a great time at sailors dream. House was clean upon arrival. A lot to see and do right next door at SPI. Enjoyed fishing outback in the canal. House was big enough for our family of four. Only complaint was that the beds were not very comfortable and not enough blankets/comforters

Pros: Right on the channel so you could step outside and fish. There was a space to clean your catch, too. Close to the lighthouse and some other sites in Port Isabel. Just a few blocks from the bridge to the island. Nice kitchen with plenty of space for cooking. Cons: 3-stories with lots of narrow stairs. You get a real workout staying here! Furniture is old and placement was odd. But we didn't spend much time inside, so not too big of a problem. Downstairs bathroom has newer shower but they left the old nasty door. Clean that thing up!!! Kitchen would be better with a few pot holders and real towels. It was hard to keep it clean with the cheapo paper towels. Also be nice to provide more ice trays since the freezer does not have an ice maker. Install a porch light! I nearly fell in the water as we were checking in after dark! Parking is tricky. Don't bring any more than one vehicle. Overall assessment: decent for the price, easily accessible to the bridge to the island and good access for fishing.

The owner rebuilt most of the dock that needed repair so that was very nice. Also, they restored power to the closest outlet which is on the cleaning table and also fixed the light above the table. The cleaning table is very small though and the edges that allow water to drain are very wide and fillets can fall through. Over all a good place if you bring your boat!

Property is nice. If you take a boat there are no cleats on the dock so plan to bring ropes. Also, the only electric outlet to charge boat batteries is out on a weak part of the dock. There are 2 slanted board walks on each side of the dock that are lower that the main dock. They flood during high tide and are extremely slippery. My best friend and his wife both took hard falls on it....so be careful!!

The home has so much potential. It has easy access to the island. Only thing was that it had a bunch of flies. On the day we arrived we were greeted by a bunch of flies on the first floor. Alive and dead. We went on with our day as the night fell the flies had multiplied. We closed the door to the first floor so they wouldn't go to the other floors. Sadly we still had flies. We had to go to Walmart to buy fly tape. Also the upstairs bathroom head had mildew. We couldn't use the first floor since the walls and ceiling had flies.
