Water views fill nearly every window, a covered deck looks out over the channel, and the canal-front boardwalk is steps away for slow mornings and easy days on the water.



    Inside, the cottage is cheerful and coastal, with an open living, dining, and kitchen area that keeps everyone together. A queen bedroom and a living room sleeper sofa give your group room to rest, and the whole home stays comfortable with central air and ceiling fans.

    The covered deck is the heart of this cottage, with room to relax and take in the canal and community views. Step out to the canal-front boardwalk to watch the boats drift by, cast a line, or simply enjoy the breeze rolling off the water.

    Your stay includes access to all of Long Island Village's amenities, just a short stroll or golf-cart ride away. Enjoy indoor and outdoor pools, indoor hot tubs, an 18-hole par-3 golf course, tennis and pickleball, sand volleyball, basketball, shuffleboard, and mini golf. Indoors you will find a fitness center, a billiard room, and a game room with foosball and table tennis, plus a library and activity halls.     Guest Access:

    Guests have full access to the entire single-level cottage, including the living and dining areas, the bedroom, the bathroom, the kitchen, in-unit laundry, and the covered waterfront deck, plus all of the shared amenities of the gated Long Island Village resort.



    Self check-in is available via lockbox, so arrival is simple and flexible at any hour.



    Before settling in, stop by the Long Island Village Welcome Center to pick up your gate card and amenity wristbands, which give you access to all of the community's amenities across the resort. Arriving after hours is no problem, just register the following day.



    Parking is available on site. Long Island Village has limited parking with vehicle-size restrictions, so please plan ahead and reach out with any questions before you arrive.



    Trash can be taken to the community compactor on your way out, located next to the tennis courts.



    The Neighborhood:

    Located in Long Island Village, a gated waterfront resort community in Port Isabel with amenities including pools, a hot tub, a par-3 golf course, and tennis courts.



    Getting Around:

    Long Island Village sits just across the swing bridge from Port Isabel, with South Padre Island only minutes away over the Queen Isabella Causeway. A car is recommended for exploring the area, and many guests get around the community by golf cart. You will find restaurants, shops, marinas, and fishing charters close by, and the nearest major airports are in Brownsville and Harlingen, each within about an hour.



    Other Things to Note:

    • Check-in begins at 4:00 PM, and check-out is by 10:00 AM.

    • Quiet hours are observed from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM in consideration of our neighbors.

    • Pets are not permitted.

    • The primary renter must be at least 25 years old.

    • Maximum occupancy is 4 guests. Only registered guests are permitted on the property.

    • Community amenities are accessed with the gate card and wristbands provided at the Welcome Center.

    • The dock and waterfront are not fenced, so please supervise children closely near the water.

    • Every reservation includes accidental damage protection for added peace of mind.

    • Additional fees and taxes may apply to your reservation total.

    • No smoking, parties, or events.

A nice place to stay.

A comfortable cottage with all the amenities, it even had a dishwasher. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed if we abated to cook (which wasn’t often ). Andrea managed the place and she made sure we had everything we needed, very nice!!

SPI vs Village Life

We normally stay on SPI but some friends were staying in the Long Island Village so we decided to stay close to them. The little village is so cute! Very well maintained. Our house was right on a canal so it was fun to wake up to that view every morning. As for the house. Cute LITTLE house. The pics online are a little deceiving. It appears to be very large online. In person, not so much. It was just my husband and I so it was ok. But I cannot imagine staying there with kids or 2 more adults. *Bedroom - Very comfy bed. Small walking space. Looked like new linens on the bed so that was a plus *Bathroom - Very small. My husband hated the shower. I was ok with it. Hot water ran out very quickly. Bathroom linens also appeared to be new and clean. *Kitchen/Dining room - We did not cook while we were there but it appeared to have all the essentials. Nice little dining room table for 4. *Living room - Nice couch and chair. TV was the perfect size for the area. *Outside deck area - This was probably my favorite spot. Nice size with comfy chairs. I could sit out there for hours. Probably not big enough for more than 4 people but neither is the house! Overall, the house could use some upgrades (ie. new sun blocking blinds instead of aluminum foil behind old mini-blinds) and a good overall deep clean. For the price, we could have gotten a much larger space on SPI. Not sure I would stay in this particular house again but might consider staying in the Village again.
