"The hotel was perfect for our short stay in Kyoto. Down the street from Nishki Market and very walkable to other bars and restaurants in the area. Very quiet at night. Hotel was clean and even came with a croissant service in the morning! We had a king bed and it was very comfortable. Highly recommend. "

"Excellent place to stay in Gion. Really nice location, convenient. Attentive staff but they will not get in your way. Nice bathroom with a Japanese-style shower and tub area. "This is listed as a 3 star hotel. It is not. It is the most luxurious hotel we’ve stayed at, including 5 star properties. The room was amazing. The location was perfect. Although everyone in Japan seems extraordinarily nice, the staff here beat even that standard. There was not one second of our time at this property that wasn’t perfect. 10/10. "

"Our favourite out of the four hotels we stayed at, during our Japan trip! Very serene atmosphere, spacious, clean, beautiful room! The staff were friendly and helpful! Though they didn’t have dining or amenities, there were walkable restaurants and attractions nearby, so that didn’t bother us. They had great wifi and access to English programming on the tv. "

"Our stay in Kyoto at the Resi Stay was wonderful. We were able to send some of our luggage ahead, and it was waiting for us at the check-in counter across the street from the train station, which is where you check in. We stayed in 1F and it was huge and very quiet, and it had laundry. We loved exploring Kyoto from this location, as it's so close to a very cute part. We only wish we made a better plan for seeing the rest of Kyoto. It's big and spread out. "

"Amazing property with a super spacious room! The staff were so kind and accommodated our late check-in. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. "Our stay at the Shijo Takakura Hotel grandreverie was great! It was the most memorable room of our trip to Japan, a great design and lots of space. The stone shower and bathtub were especially luxury. The staff was incredibly attentive. It's the one place we'd immediately go again!"
