"Amazing place located close to Lidl, ferries and bus stops"

"Amazing location right next to Sliema Ferry station with a breathtaking view of Valletta. The apartment was well-equipped, modern, clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. There are plenty of shops, restaurants and bars nearby. We got access to an outdoor pool at Manta Beach Club just across the street, which was also quite nice, even though we could not use it due to the weather. I would definitely recommend this place and would return any time."

"Room was lovely and the balcony great after a days sightseeing to relax with a book a glass of wine and watch the world go by. Pool was a great extra used it a couple of times and both times were the only ones using it. Great waterfront location with very good restaurants within walking distance"

"Wonderful stay at this 18-room boutique hotel. The staff was great and everyone was so friendly. We had numerous conversations with the Assistant Manager Mane and the Manager as well as all of the other staff persons. The hotel has a great location and the rooms felt luxurious. We stayed 7 nights which is a leisurely way to visit Valletta and Gozo. They provide a free wine nightly for hotel guests on their lovely rooftop terrace. "

"The room had everything we needed and was very spacious. The hotel itself has a snack time from 4-5pm where they serve cake and 6-8pm where they serve free local wines. There’s a rooftop and a brilliant view to sit and relax with a wine. Very thoughtful."

"We had a lovely time staying here. The staff were very friendly and helpful: Neil in particular gave us lots of good tips for what to see. There was a small hiccup with the check in process (I think stemming from the fact that we'd booked through Expedia and not directly through the hotel itself), but that was resolved without fuss. Location wise, although the hotel is on a busy pedestrian street we did not have any noise issues. We really enjoyed having breakfast on the rooftop, the views are...

"Rooms were incredibly clean and well equipped. Bed was very comfy. All utensils and kitchen appliances readily available. Rooftop was quiet and peaceful away from the sounds of road and building works. Communication with staff is very easy and they're incredibly helpful. Excellent accomodation overall. Quick access to shops, good food, sea view and bus stops. "

"Had the best time at Barcelo, the room was huge with a beautiful side sea view of Valletta. The breakfast was lovely, so much choice. Reserving the beds at Manta was easy enough at Reception for the next day. Spa was lovely and the Hammer Strength Gym was fantastic. Location great for restaurants and to get the ferry over to Valletta. Would definitely come back"

"La struttura è in ottime condizioni all'interno di un palazzo storico, dispone di una sauna e di una piccola piscina al piano seminterrato, e di un'altra piccola piscina e un bar sulla terrazza, da cui si gode di una vista incantevole. La camera era ampia e confortevole e ben insonorizzata, a causa del tasso di umidità necessario aprire la finestra. La colazione era in parte a buffet, per il resto si poteva scegliere alla carta qualche piatto caldo. Personale cordiale e disponibile."

"Personal und Service war ausgezeichnet, hier blieben keine Wünsche offen. Ein besonderes Highlight war der Rooftop Pool mit Blick aufs Meer, mit sehr bequemen Sonnenbetten. Dieser ist auf keinen Fotos ersichtlich gewesen. Zur Begrüßung im Hotel bekamen wir ein Glas Sekt auf Kosten des Hauses. Ein kleiner Kritikpunkt war die Lautstärke vom Zimmer, wir wurden um 4 Uhr morgens jeden Tag vom Straßenverkehr (Müllwagen?, Transporter?) geweckt."

"The fire escape route from room 501 takes you into a spiral stone staircase which is very narrow, dark in places and blocked near the bottom by bags of rubbish. This was reported to the hotel Guest Relations on the day of arrival but when checked the next few days, nothing had changed. This is a death trap for anybody who uses this fire escape route as per the instructions in the room folder and the fire escape plan in the room and corridor outside the room. I provided this feedback to Expedia...

"Room was beautiful with excellent room darkening curtains, clean bathroom, super comfortable bed, yummy breakfasts either cooked or à la carte, great location yet quiet at night, free snacks and assorted beverages, elevator/lift and wonderful helpful friendly staff. The only thing as of May 23, 2026 to be aware of is St Ursula Street in front of the hotel is completely torn up and impassable to cars for roadwork, which two mornings caused loud noises at 8 am. The only way to into hotel is narrow...

"We had to wait till 2 PM to check in and checked out at 2:30 AM for our flight. A short stay, but all was good. We would book again."

"Wonderful hotel and it’s spotless. The evening menu was limited as salads finished at 6pm and tables must be booked for refreshments and meals, even for residents. Once we knew the system it was manageable due to brilliant staff."
