Mara ist eine tolle Gastgeberin: Freundlich, unkompliziert, hilfsbereit und nicht aufdringlich. Die Wohnung ist sehr groß, sauber, gemütlich und der Blick von der Terrasse ist spektakulär. Man kann gut mit dem Boot oder mit dem Bus nach Como und Bellagio fahren. Der Weg zur Badestelle ist stufenreich, aber gut machbar. Unten am See war es nie besonders voll. Also, alles super.

Perfect family apartment in beautiful location

A lovely apartment by Lake Como. Lots of room, everything you need, including ceiling fans in every room to keep cool! We stayed with our young children and they loved the space too. Mara is a wonderful host, very friendly and helpful. Parking is convenient and right outside, a couple of options for mini markets and bars/restaurants within walking distance and slightly larger villages nearby with more options. We only stayed for a couple of days but would definitely return for longer.

Groot appartement met fantastisch uitzicht!

Fijn appartement. Schoon en volledig ingericht. Goed bed, groot terras en alles werd goed uitgelegd door Mara. Ze spreekt goed Engels dus dat is fijn.Tip voor iedereen die met de veerboot mee wil: rijd eerst naar Lezzeno en neem van daaruit de boot. In Pognana is de klim van beneden naar boven als je terug komt met de boot niet te doen. Is heel erg hoog. Verder is dit een aanrader !

Wirklich sehr zu empfehlen

Als wir ankamen hat es so stark geregnet. Mara hat uns sehr aufmerksam, mit Regenschirme für uns, begrüßt. Ihre emphatische und liebevolle Art zeigt, dass es nicht nur irgendeine Ferienwohnung ist, sondern sie steckt all ihre Liebe und Ihr Engagement hinein. So war auch die Wohnung. Alles war vorhanden bis ins kleine Detail. Sehr liebevoll. Uns hat alles gefallen. Danke Mara für deine liebevolle und authentisch Art. Wir würden wieder kommen 😃

Zum zweiten Mal dort und wieder alles top

Sehr gut ausgestattete Ferienwohnung mit viel Platz. Von der Terrasse hat man schönen Blick auf den See. Sehr freundliche und unkomplizierte Vermieterin. Wir waren bestimmt nicht zum letzten Mal hier.

Wonderful stay with a perfect view

Mara welcomed us in a private parking spot (VERY important in this area) with a happy smile and a lot of helpful tips (turned out there is a special gniocchi festival on August 18th!) to a very specious and equipped apartment with a very big terrace overlooking the lake! All the beds were freshly made and the atmosphere in the house was wonderful. A short walk from the apartment (281 stairs, we counted!) you’ll reach a great spot to enter lake Como, with grass and a bench, where you will join the locals for a dive to the cold and refreshing water. The location is great - a short drive to Como and Bellagio , but staying away from the crowds. The only disadvantage was the proximity to the road but there was not a lot of traffic at night. We highly recommend this apartment and Mera as an hostess

The host Mara was amazingly kind and willing to help in any way possible. We arrived much later than planned due to flight delays, and Mara contacted us several times to make sure that we were ok and made us feel welcome without no sign of irritation even if she was waiting for us the whole afternoon. Once we arrived she showed us our parking place which is included with the apartment and even offered to help us with our luggages. The apartment is spotlessly clean and spacious and much better that the pictures on the booking sites. There is everything needed to cook a god meal and enjoy it on the terrace overlooking lake Como. She gave us a lot of information and tips on the surroundings and things to see / do in the lake area. The area is great as a base to discover the lake area or to just spend the days relaxing and going to the nearby beach(5 min). There are buses and boats serving the area but we had a car which is even better as it is more flexible. There are a couple of restaurants on either side of the apartment and there is even a local supermarket that has everything. It is of course much cheaper to stop by at Lidl or Aldi in Como city and do the shopping there. Overall a great host, clean, spacious and well equipped apartment with a parking place and an amazing view over the lake and we will definitely recommend it, would love to come back again.

Best place ever

No review could do justice to how amazing Casa di Mara is. Lake Como is heaven on Earth and Mara is the perfect host! The property is even better than the pictures and the view is more beautiful than you could believe. Mara was an absolute pleasure to work with as she went above and beyond what you expect from a VRBO host. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and highly recommend anyone planning a trip to Europe to stay at Casa di Mara!

Casa Mara for the win!

My family has stayed in alot of vacation rentals over the years and this was the best one yet. Mara met us the minute we arrived and guided me into our parking spot. She is so friendly and informative. The home was spotlessly clean, large and had everything we needed. The views were so beautiful. Bellagio was a short 20 minute drive and from there the car ferry took us across to each side of the lake. Wish we had more time to stay. Thanks Mara! Parfait

Tout était parfait dès la réservation jusqu'à la fin du séjour. Mara est très gentille, elle a su nous conseiller pour notre séjour, l'appartement est spacieux, propre, fonctionnel et a une superbe terrasse. Même si l'appartement n'est pas tout proche des villages touristiques, l'axe est très passant et permet de prendre le bus ou la voiture assez facilement. Petit plus pour la place de stationnement. Bref on a super bien profité et je compte bien y revenir ! Merci encore

Pictures do not do the place justice

The property was much cleaner and bigger than the photoes online indicated. Mara was lovely to communicate with online and in person. She even informed us of local news that affected our plans. We sat on the large patio each evening staring at the lake. It was a great stay!

Parfait

Très bon séjour à Pognana Lario. Le village est très agréable, commerces, cafés ... ligne de bus et embarcadère pour visiter le lac en bateau. L'appartement de Mara est très spacieux, d'une propreté irréprochable et très bien équipé. La vue de la grande terrasse est magnifique. Et le plus est l'accueil chaleureux de Mara, gentillesse et disponibilité ... un vrai bonheur !
