"Great staff and location. The hotel needs some TLC particularly the gardens and pool area. The bathrooms were nicely decorated and very clean. There was a graduation celebration and woke up to trash and food around the pool area (tray of hamburger and hot dog sausage). The staff was very efficient in cleaning up the mess early morning around 5-6am (I’m an early riser;). A guest was very impolite mentioning in Spanish to a staff that “he hoped they put Clorox in the pool” as I was passing...

"Figured we'd stay in Mayagüez for a night and then head over to some waterfalls in the general area. I don't usually gravitate towards hotel chains, but the island is still on the mend from the storm of '17 and earthquake of '20, and Holiday Inn is doing a pretty good job of presenting well maintained and comfortable properties around the island.
