"I went because my son had a Futbol tournament.
The amennities inside the hotel, and the proximity with other services were great for us.
I used the washing and dryer, the Ice machine, the breakfest, the restaurants beside the hotel, black angus and Mcdonalds, plus all the nearby stores, olus a farmers market and licor store.
The only issue, if you need the washer dryer, bring your quaters, 1.25 for washing and 1.00 for drying.

For using the hotel for a convention (not SDCC) the hotel was perfect for what I needed. The location was great as the walk was only 10-12min walk from the hotel to the convention center, and the selection of restaurants and bars is plentiful in the area. though be warned that if you are a light sleeper, the evening can get a bit rowdy from 8pm-2am but the hotel provides soft earplugs to help the sleep.
