The Mayor's House, 5 bedrooms, Modern Luxury Cabin

The mayor’s cabin is the ultimate quintessential location for all that Pine Mountain Club has to offer. This new cabin was built in 2021, has 5 bedrooms, and is almost 3,000 sq. ft. of modern luxury and detailed interior design. It is the ultimate place to stay for short or extended stays. From your front windows, you have a direct view of the brand-new Olympic size pool, tennis courts, golf course, and club house/restaurant that you can enjoy and walk back home.

Everything is so close that you will feel like the town mayor during your stay.

The town center, with the cute shops and additional restaurants, is just across the street as is the children’s park, churches, and general store. You will have guest access to the club house, golf course, lake, fishing, and archery range.

You will not need your car and hiking paths are walking distance too. Bring your bikes and fishing poles to pump up the fun. The home features luxurious and grand furnishings. The first floor has a big master bedroom with king size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a soaking tub and separate shower. A second master bedroom features a queen size bed and en-suite bathroom with a luxurious shower. A third bedroom has a single bed and single trundle bed. The living room is inviting with a large TV loaded with Hulu TV and movie services including Netflix, Amazon Prime Movies, HBO Max, and Disney Plus. The kitchen contains with what you need and a coffee bar with various types of coffee makers. The table offers ample seating for 8 plus seating at the kitchen island.

The second floor is just as grand. You walk into a beautiful and large loft with lots of seating, loaded TV, games and puzzles. This is another area where families and friends can gather and enjoy spending time together . This floor offers a split bathroom and shower that is shared by two beautifully furnished bedrooms with queen beds. If you work from home, we offer four desks with office chairs.

Pine Mountain Club has a general store which is a basic grocery store, and also has some restaurants, and a gas station/auto shop. Also has some gift shops, couple of bars, etc. A larger market is 20 mins away in Frazier Park, as is the closest pharmacy (open on weekdays) and a hardware store. When coming to PMC understand that it is fairly remote and you should come prepared with Important things that you may not be able to get easily!

WINTER ALERT! In the winter months it snows here. Roads may get icy, even though the roads are well cared for by the town. There may be times where chains are needed if you do not have an all wheel drive vehicle. Check weather conditions in advance.

Power Outages

Power outages occur rarely but it has been known to occur since Kern County has been upgrading the electrical poles/lines. Please make sure you are prepared if you experience a slight power outage. We have flashlights if this should occur.

Nice town and location

This place is well located, especially with kids, you can walk everywhere in the small town you might want to go to; the pool, downtown for an ice cream, or the playground. The overall area is beautiful and very outdoorsy, we went hiking and saw lots of mountain bikers, runners, etc. The house is as advertised. The kitchen could use more dishes and serving platters/bowls, and the place was a bit grimy (as many rentals are). Overall we had a lovely stay.

Souly Business

Me a a band of brothers were in the area to attend a men’s retreat. The home was well appointed and easy to find. Wish we could have stayed longer to take in the beautiful scenery and enjoy the lovely deck. Got up early to addend the retreat and got home late in time to lay our heads down. Hope to come back on day. David

Fantastic area and location of home!

We enjoyed that the home was large and the location was vey convenient being right across the street from the pool, tennis, golf, rec room, etc.. We also enjoyed hiking in the immediate area.

Girl’s getaway

Four friends met at the Mayor’s House to vacay together. It was very relaxing and beautiful. Cleaning crew was still there upon our arrival after 4 pm but left shortly thereafter. They advised the vacuum cleaner broke, so we swept the house each day. Having a washer and dryer was great. We planned ahead and brought our own laundry soap and dryer sheets as none was provided. Living room furniture is feather stuffed and we saw the occasional floating feather here and there. Couches and stuffed chairs are low. All in all it was an awesome vacation!

Perfect House for a Mountain Getaway

We had an excellent time at the Mayor's house. The house is spacious and our group of 9 (7 adults/2 kids) was very comfortable. The driveway fits 4 cars. There were plenty of warm blankets and the heater kept us cozy. We spent much time in the kitchen and enjoyed the open layout. I thoroughly enjoyed the views of the sunrise from the front porch. There was plenty of seating on the front and back deck. The soaking tub was delightful after a day of hiking in the snow. We found a map of hiking trails across the street at the Pine Mountain Clubhouse. We enjoyed walking to the bakery for fresh pastries in the morning. This house is in a great location and has everything you need for a restorative getaway in the mountains. James was very responsive and we would love to visit again. Highly recommend!

Family fun!

This is a Great Home to accommodate a large family or friend group. We had a family reunion in Pine Mountain club, and a few places were rented for the weekend, but everyone loved ours the most! Nice big living room and dining room table, great outdoor barbecue area, easy access, and parking. We could have used the swimming pool etc. but we had other activities planned. we were within walking distance of the general store, bakery, local restaurants, which made everything super easy. Great place to create happy family memories!

PMC Family Reunion

The mayor House property exceeded our expectations for our family and the homes location. More amenities included than the VRBo booking detailed. Very nice furnishings, plenty of space for all and the kitchen was set up for entertaining and gourmet cooking! High quality appliances and coffee stations!! The out door deck and outdoor BBQ area holds 20+ people easily and is wonderful to hang out at night!! The location to the pool, club house, golf and the main street restaurants was fantastic! ***Also the place has AC / Central Air!! We’ll be back again soon!!

Nice Spacious House

The Mayor's House is a nice house overall. But renter BEWARE of extra guest charge over 6 people. Even though the listing says "sleeps 10" it should say "sleeps 10 but extra charge for any number over 6". This is a flaw in the VRBO system. If the property SLEEPS 10 then the price should be FOR 10 people. The other issue was the landscape was not complete and irrigation pipes were not winterized so there was a burst pipe that required the water to be shut off for 12 hours (fortunately someone saw the water running down the yard). The very nice security person from the Pine Mountain Golf Club opened the club house for us to use, so that was a perk of being across the street. The owner did refund a small portion for the undeclared extra person charge and busted pipe and he was very easy to communicate with. It will be a lovely property when the landscape is complete, it is a great space for a large group. The folks in Pine Mountain are super nice! As we were packing up to leave a father/son duo came by in a 4X4 and took our garbage to the dump site for us! All in all it was a great trip and we would recommend the Mayor's House.

Quiet getaway

We had a great stay at Pine Mountain Club. Having two master suites was nice and the upstairs was roomy with a separate living area. The kitchen had plenty of dishes and appliances to cook our meals. We walked across the street to a restaurant one night. The area was very quiet and a nice getaway. We went hiking and off roading nearby. We enjoyed playing tennis, fishing in the pond, and my father-in-law played a round of golf. Communication with the owner was easy and got a quick response. Overall, the house is beautiful , brand new, and roomy.

Writing retreat

The house was great, exactly as billed. Lots of space for 6 adults and super comfortable. We came for nerdy writing and it was great. Lovely community close to LA with fun hikes. Winter driving was a challenge and definitely requires 4WD and skill if it snows. Definitely hope to go again.
