Ready for a relaxing getaway on beautiful Cross lake without sacrificing space or the conveniences of home? Located just an hour north of Minneapolis, Edgewater Bungalow is where your adventure begins! Located on Cross Lake, this newly built(2018) lake home offers a uniquely styled 3 BD, 3 BA home which can sleep up to 10. It offers all of the amenities of home (free wifi, Alexa, technology charging station built into the kitchen island, dishwasher, Netflix, Disney+). Complete with washer and dryer, fire pit, dock, large deck, fully equipped kitchen and so much more.

This "bungalow" faces east to have the most incredibly peaceful morning coffee or create a serene experience by using one of the provided yoga mats to do morning yoga by the water. There is an open concept space and plenty of lawn to enjoy bonfires and yard games. Use your boat or the onsite paddle board or kayak provided to explore the 2400-acre lakes(Cross and Pokegama) with 2 restaurants, 2 boat launches.

Chengwatana State Forest is 10 minutes from the house and has trails for cross-country skiing, horseback riding, ATV's, and hunting or venture up to Grand Casino Hinkley on your snow machine using the extensive trails surrounding the area.

Visiting family

Mostly just slept there as we were gone visiting family during the days. However, it was a very welcoming and pleasant house to stay in. Would highly recommend to anyone else looking for a place to stay in the area.

Lovely weekend stay!

My friends and I stayed here for the weekend to attend a friend's wedding and we couldn't have been more thrilled with this house! We didn't have a ton of down time to hang out in the house but there were so many games available and streaming services we had access to which we would have taken advantage of had we had the time. My only (very very small) comment is that there were a few windows/doors/parts of the ceiling that could have been cleaned up more (dust, flies, etc.) but it was so minimal with how lovely and well kept the house is. We also wanted to suggest that the little office that's in the master bedroom would be perfect to make into a vanity since the bathroom sinks are on top of the counter and there's not a ton of counter space to work with. Besides these tiny notes, this place is SO BEAUTIFUL and so well maintained. We highly recommend this VRBO to anyone who wants a beautiful, easy, and relaxing place to stay :)

Great stay!

This home was very neat and clean. Having access to the 2 stall garage was an added bonus. Checking in and out was so easy. There were many great features like games, paddle boards, kayaks that we were able to take advantage of.

A Lovely Lake Retreat

We thoroughly enjoyed our 10 days at the Edgewater Bungalow in Pine City. The layout of the home was perfect for our family with amazing views of the lake. We rented a pontoon and spent much of our time in the water. Would highly recommend this property!

Always a Fun Time

We love the Edgewater Bungalow. The views and access to Cross Lake are fantastic but we didn’t have to give up “creature comforts” during our stay. Fully functional kitchen with newer appliances, luxury bedding that is always clean. There are no details the property owners over looked. We look forward to our stay here every year.

Family vacation

Took our 2 married children and grandchildren. Excellent home for larger parties! Grandchildren loved the Lilly pad tied to the dock! They even caught some fish off dock! Would highly recommend this property!!

Relaxing and Clean

Very nice and very clean rental home with a beautiful unobstructed panoramic view of the lake. Quiet neighborhood which we appreciated. Lake had little activity while we were there (Sunday-Thursday late June) which was great for paddle-boarding and kayaking, which we spent many hours doing. Kitchen was very well stocked with various size pans, skillets, utensils, grill utensils, large serving bowls, a crockpot, even plastic wrap and foil. Outside upper deck had large wooden dining table, which I don't believe is pictured. Key was provided so we didn't need to use access code the entire time and garage opener to park in garage as well. Before and during vacation owner was always very quick to respond to messages. The only negative I want to note that doesn't affect my rating because it's not about the rental but rather Cross Lake in general is that I wish I had known was there was a lot of algae in the lake, so while we did a lot of kayaking and even used the lily pad, we avoided actually swimming in the lake. This rental is about halfway between Duluth and the twin cities, at just a little over an hour to either, so easy to access for a short day trip which made for a good location. Overall a great rental!

Great getaway, right on the water!

Great view and access to water. Tons of amenities available. Big kitchen and dining room. Great master bedroom. Lower level held plenty of room and tv room. Lots of stairs certainly. Great deck views of the water. Owners may rely on occupants to tidy up at end of visit as upon our arrival rugs were not vacuumed and coffee pot were not emptied and cupboards are a lurks chaotic with left over basics or multiple utensils/ tools of the kitchen. Great time was had and would book again.

Getaway Weekend

The house was beautiful, and the location was great! We had rented a boat during out stay, but found out when we got there the dock was not in. Alan was very responsive, and had someone out to set it up quickly, however we did end up in the water to help as it is not a one-person job. The internet wasn't working, and cell service wasn't great - but it helped us stay off our phones. Overall a great weekend, we would stay here again!

Wedding weekend in Minnesota

House on the lake was as advertised, a good alternative to a hotel stay for a wedding weekend that was happening nearby. We enjoyed the deck views, kayaking the lake and being able to cook meals while visiting.

Great place to get away

We just finished our stay at this property and everyone had a blast. The cabin was every bit as nice as the pictures indicated and the morning sunrises couldn’t be beat. The kids had so much fun playing on the lily pad and swimming and when they needed some downtime, the big tv and Nintendo provided a great activity while we got to enjoy the beautiful evening on the deck. Would definitely recommend this place to anybody looking for a getaway close to the cities.

A Lovely Lake House with a Beautiful View!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Pine City on Cross Lake at the Edgewater Bungalow! The home is well designed with an open kitchen, and dining room. The kitchen has a nice island for preparing food and the dining area contains a large wooden table perfect for family games. The kitchen is well stocked. The only thing we could have used more of were more dish towels and dish soap. Really appreciated all the plastic containers in which to store leftovers and the set of colorful serving bowels. The master bedroom, which is located upstairs, is wonderful! The bathroom has two sinks and the shower is spacious. The mattress is very comfortable, but our favorite part was the trapezoid window which allowed us to look at the moon or watch the clouds drift by. We often ate on the deck which offers incredible views of a portion of the lake. Although the home is lovely, we spent most of our time outside, floating near the dock with our cocktail of the day, kayaking, and playing beanbags down by the water. Our adult kids really appreciated the short trip from the cities, the good Wi-Fi, and the Nintendo Switch. We all appreciated the warm water and the weedless area off the end of the dock. Had plenty of beach towels but could have used more bath towels. One day we rented a pontoon from Pine-toon rental and enjoyed a full day of boating. My husband tried some fishing but wasn’t very successful. Maybe he’ll have more luck when we return next year!

Lake Living with the Comfort of Home

This is the second time our family has stayed. We love a lake vacation but really enjoy our “creature comforts” (dishwasher, washer/dryer, quality bedding, super clean home, etc.). The Edgewater Bungalow has all of that along with so many toys (Lily Pad, Kayaks, Paddle Boards, lawn games, puzzles, board games, Nintendo Switch, and more)…. Our kids ranging from teen to toddler loved all their time here. We were able to rent a pontoon and the person we rented from loved that the dock is plastic so we didn’t have to worry about dinging the boat. We plan to come back again next summer to make more memories.

Our Wine Trip to northern part of MN

My daughter and sister in law and I stayed here for our annual wine trip. Cabin was super nice and clean and updated Love our stay! Beautiful view. We had our morning coffee and meals on the upper deck. So relaxing and very comfortable. We definitely will recommend this place to our friends. The Wineries were great.
