"It is a cool place if you know what expect. The staff is very nice. The room only had a/c in the bedroom, and the ceiling fan didn't work in the living area. They did bring us a plug in fan. The restaurant and bar closes very early, so pepare. I do recommend the omelettes in the morning."

"Het hotel was prima. De kamers ruim en het bed prima. Je kon diner en ontbijt bestellen, maar het ligt echt afgelegen. Als je geen auto hebt, kun je zeker ‘s avonds weinig kanten op. "

"I booked this trip for my clode friend. She was extremely disapoibted because the A/C didnt work and she spoke with the front desk more than once on the issue. Additionally during her stay housekeeping never changed the linens..she did not enjoy her stay at all. It was very uncomfortable "

"La résidence est une magnifique maison d'un style indéfinissable (possiblement néocolonial) peinte de couleurs vives située à l'entrée de Portsmouth, sur un vaste terrain bordée d'une rivière cascadante. Le terrain mériterait d'être aménagé pour être plus agréable à l'oeil. L'environnent est très calme, dans une impasse, entre une petite résidence et un hôtel hélas un peu massif. Nous sommes restés une semaine dans la suite N°5, un appartement charmant, bien disposé, qui nous a séduit...

"The property is nestled away on the country side of the island. We stayed in the honeymoon suite only steps away from the ocean . The pool is made of stones and is refreshing , especially with a cocktail. We scheduled a couples massage with hot rocks and let the stress of the World melt away . What a lovely retreat with Nature ! We will be back soon!"

"My time at Fort Young was very enjoyable. The staff was friendly, and whenever I had an issue, I called the front desk and they quickly resolved it. The hotel was clean, and the food was delicious; I highly recommend the breakfast—it’s very good. I will definitely be visiting Fort Young Hotel again."

"This is in an idyllic forest setting. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is fun and tasty. There is parking outside and across the road. WiFi is great. It's the opposite of quiet but the noises are rainforest sounds and cattle, which is restful in a different way. The rooms are pretty basic and a little tired but have everything you need. It's convenient for the airport and river but there is no hiking near to the property. "

"Nixson and his mother are lovely. He took time to make sure I was comfortable, and kindly shared his knowledge of the plants in his garden with me Fridge, hot shower, comfy bed, nearby shops, atm, restaurants Some mozzies but there are nets so I slept great I went to Batibou beach nearby, about a 1hr walk, or 10 min drive. My jaw was on the floor 😍 I enjoyed my stay. Thank you"

"Property was exactly as described in the photos they provided. Rooms have the basics, nothing fancy but were clean. Location was great for us in Roseau Valley as we needed to be in that area. Also very close to Roseau. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. We got breakfast included which was a local fruit plate, coffee, fresh juice, toast and jam. They also do have eggs and bacon and pancakes available for an additional cost (which was tasty). "

"We stayed one night as it was close to the airport and we knew we’d be arriving in the dark. The hostess and her family were so lovely and welcoming. We arrived later than expected and though we had not reserved a dinner meal the hostess graciously made us some sandwiches. The breakfast was delicious. We would stay here again in a heart beat. This place is a gem."

"There was a mix-up about the room description, but the staff made it right. The restaurant bar staff were fun and attentive. Air-conditioning was truly a blessing! Balcony was a perfect view of the ocean and we got a bird's eye view of ocean wildlife coming ashore in the morning at breakfast. Room was clean and adapters were provided for electronic device usage and charging. I would definitely visit here again."

"The staff at the hotel were absolutely super! They were very attentive to every question or need that arose. Great hospitality. The hotel was clean and in good (not great) condition. Walking distance to everything in Roseau."

"The address was not correct, it leads us to the hospital, I had to ask for directions. When the men arrived at the bottom of the stairs, they were sitting and never responded to the "hello", maybe because of my complexion, whatever, I didn't try to say hello again after that. The maids was nice and polite. "
