"Very comfortable bed, clean room We stayed for 2 nights. At check-in, we did not notice the sign in reception that you need to ask for a room refresh (before noon) We needed clean cups, glasses, tbags, but we asked in the pub on the second day and all were provided. The only downside is there isn’t really anywhere in the bathroom to dry towel on a two night stay, so maybe best to ask for refresh Excellent value for money"

"I was really looking forward to my stay at The Candlesticks. However as soon as I entered, I began to have my doubts. The bar area, where the owner received us, looked particularly shabby and it smelt musty. It was 3pm (an hour after checking-in should have started) and the room wasn't ready. It wasn't such a big deal, but it was another warning sign. I was in a single room, which made a certain saying about a cat spring to mind. "El hotel es precioso, muy grande, se extiende no en altura sino en superficie. Tiene muchos espacios diferentes: restaurantes de diversa categoría, bar, espacios para fiestas incluida discoteca y un terreno enorme. La habitación amplia, con una decoración exquisita. Y las dos “recepcionistas” que nos atendieron tanto a la llegada como a la salida muy amables y agradables."

"We arrived early and decided to try the dining facilities. We were pleasantly surprised at the options and pricing. When the courses arrived the standard was excellent. The room was spacious, clean and well appointed with ensuite facilities, coffee machine with small fridge and milk as well as bottled water. The bed was very comfy. Breakfast had many options. "First time stayed here, and could not fault a thing. (One or two little.niggles but nothing to complain about). Staff were helpful and all very friendly. Room was (as requested) a twin accessible room as mum.needs one these days.- and quiet. Meals were either in restaurant or bar area.Plenty of parking too, including disabled.bays. Overall, would stay here again if in Peterborough."
